A delightful period cottage packed with original features. Danby Cottage is charming with an inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove in the sitting room and beamed ceilings throughout. This traditional two bedroom property has a garden with table, chairs and a barbeque for alfresco dining. Perfect for a family or friends looking to stay close to the beach with shops, cafes and pubs nearby.
Southwold is a traditional coastal town famous for its pastel coloured beach huts, fishing boats and fabulously fresh seafood! The town has some excellent independent shops, cafes and restaurants, be sure to call in for a pint of the acclaimed Adnams beer in one of the popular pubs.

Open plan living room: inglenook chimney with working open fire, two seater sofa and armchairs. Dining area and kitchen: round table and four chairs. Bedroom 1: double bed, bedside cabinets and lamps, hanging space and storage. Bedroom 2: twin beds, space for a cot, built in storage and hanging space. Entertainment: Smart TV, radio. Danby Cottage- Southwold.
Location excellent - just 50 yds from main shopping/ Adnams visitor centre & brewery & distillery tours - highly recommend booking the distillery tour or the brewery tour - but book well in advance as places are limited and get booked up quickly - the tasting at the end always goes down well! Danby Cottage itself was clean and serviceable as a base but the photo on the listing was obviously taken several years ago & just thought it was probably now overdue a ‘refresh’. Also small point but having stayed at several cottages around the country the provision of a few logs for the log burner would be normal and a welcome touch & is part of the experience of your stay.

Southwold holiday
We booked late and chose the cottage based on availability. It was very well located in easy reach of town and beach. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed however the floors downstairs were made of stone and quite cold. There was also no upstairs bathroom which was offset by the charm of the very old cottage. We loved Southwold and will return
