"It was a little hard to find, as entry is easy to miss and I wasn't sure which of the cabins it was. But once I got there it was worth the effort: a very nice shepherd's hut, with good facilities and the view was wonderful even in early spring, the only nearby neighbours are the pheasants and deer.Bad: Drive down (or especially back up) is very steep on gravel track so took some practice to get up. "Cannot recommend enough superb in all aspects very quiet area away from busy lives. Very clean everything you need for a perfect stay plus extra personal touches from the host ie fresh flowers and home made cakes. "It was a wonderful, peaceful, relaxing place to celebrate turning 60 with husband, two adult children and the dog! Booked only a week before so only had two nights... we should have booked longer. "The Hosts Jill & Andrew were brilliant always there if needed. Oak lodge was all you could ask for, 5 star accommodation, a super hot tub on the decking overlooking the fish stocked lake. So relaxing watching the fish surface and jump. Alpacas in the fields beyond and lovey views beyond them. No noise of cars, crowds or music, you are back to Nature If you're looking to get away from it all this is the place."

"There were 17 of us staying and it was perfect for us all. Plenty of space, comfortable accommodation, fantastic facilities, beautiful views. The pool and hot tub were a huge hit. Would definitely recommend and would love to return. There were a couple of issues with door handles. One fell off all the time and one was impossible to lock. But, apart from that, it was perfect."

"This a sizeable property and well placed for easy access to Beach, Town and shops. It has 5 bedrooms including a downstairs bedroom and en-suite. Some updating needed of facilities which has been fed back. However, this was a great success as it’s very hard to find suitable accommodation for people with mobility issues and I was staying with my parents who are 88 & 89 respectively. It had a small enclosed garden which is perfect for Animals and small humans a like. Lots of toys for children are...
