Overall spacious nice place with a few caveats
Never having been to Crete, we did our best to research areas. It really depends upon what you are looking for... Half of our group of six preferred this location for it's extremely authentic small town feel and quietness. The other other half would've preferred staying in Chania which had a little more going on. We rented a car which was a must either way. Other than that, we loved the spaciousness of the house, more than what the six of us needed. It was clean and the views were incredible! There was a large outdoor balcony where we sat for morning coffee, a side patio and outdoor kitchen which we did not use, but was a cool plus. The lower pool area was very pretty. Unfortunately, the pool was not heated and was too cold for us to use in September. That was a disappointment. We would've paid extra for heating of the pool. We were forewarned that the driveway which leads to the front door was extremely steep. It wasn't a problem for us, but could be for anyone the least bit motorically challenged. If you stay here, don't miss the nearby taverna and coffee shop-- such an authentic small town Greek experience with fresh food and friendly people. Prices were crazy reasonable.
The biggest downside about this place were the beds-- mattresses were thin and hard, in great need of replacement!!
All in all, a good experience.
