"The check-in was quick, seamless and the lass on reception was friendly, welcoming and helpful, telling us everything we needed and asking if we had any food allergies. The room was clean, no marks, dust, well presented and had all the amenities we required. "Booked this hotel as it was close to family we were visiting on a last minute trip. Ample parking on arrival and a very friendly helpful young gentleman at reception, he knew the answer to any questions we had and was so knowledgeable - a real credit to the hotel. We decided to have dinner in the restaurant even though we hadn’t booked and it was no problem at all, there was a small menu and only one vegetarian option but it was really lovely, one of the nicest meals I’ve had in a long time and...

"All good when we arrived. Room was well prepared with tea, coffee and milk sachets. Lovely towels too. However on the second day of our stay the room was not serviced so we had to buy tea and coffee. Even worse, the towels weren’t replaced so we had to use damp towels the second day. As we paid the full price for each day I think the room should have been serviced the second day."

"Lovely big bedroom. Old fashioned, traditional and quirky, but good. Room clean and tidy. Bathroom very well decorated with huge bath and seperate walkin shower. Hotel could be drafty in places, so open fires were nice. Breakfast was great. "

"We had a very friendly welcome, and shown to our room, found the room clean and spacious,went for evening meal in the restaurant,staff very attentive,food was delicious and well presented. Went for breakfast and again delicious,staff always had a smile. Overall I would recommend a stay here . Went for cliff walk to the border, beautiful views easy access to motor way to visit other places."

"We enjoyed a fabulous stay. Thank you to all the staff. The children said they had the best night's sleep ever and enjoyed the best dinner ever. Everyone was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. "We loved staying at this property, the location close to the sea and only a few minutes from the Main Street where there were shops and cafes was great. The train station was not far off for access to Edinburgh. Susie was always responsive and helpful. The accomodation had every thing we needed. "
