Charming Waterfront Pine Cabin on Curlew Lake

Come relax in our wood paneled cabin with direct access to Curlew Lake. The cabin is easily accessible from the paved road and is nestled on a quiet bay that is a no-wake zone, making it even safer for swimming, kayaking, etc. The bay is brimming with wildlife from bald eagles, osprey, heron, turtles, frogs, beavers, deer, and more! From Spring to Fall, enjoy watching the family of bald eagles that nest directly across the bay, with ideal viewing from the deck. Curlew Lake is known for its fishing, year-round. Fish from the dock or put your boat in at the public launch at the State Park. Great spot for ice fishing in the winter too. Cabin is stocked with games for all ages, and Roku for access to your streaming services.

Our cabin includes a large open kitchen with stone counter tops and new appliances, 3 bedrooms that sleep 8 comfortably, plus a carpeted loft with space to put down sleeping bags. Spacious closets in each bedroom. Large covered deck with a gas grill. In cold weather warm up around the wood stove. Great spot for families, small group, or a couples weekend.

Lots to do nearby, or just relax and enjoy the natural views. Located near the charming town of Republic, hikes and cross-country skiing in the Colville National Forest and the Kettle Crest and PNW Trail, biking and walking on the nearby Ferry County Rail to Trail (the former train trestle bridge is around a 10 minute walk from cabin), horseback trail riding tours available locally. Popular area for hunting. Even the drive on the Scenic Sherman Byway is itself a treat. In addition to ice fishing and nordic skiing, Winter activities also include snowmobiling and some families enjoy ice skating on the lake! If coming during winter months, we highly recommend a 4WD vehicle to handle snow given the slope of the driveway.

The former gold mining town of Republic offers local eateries, a microbrewery (that also has great rootbeer and homemade sodas!), quaint independent shops, natural food store, outdoor gear place, ice cream, pizzeria, grocery store, hardware store, library, etc. As the county seat, Republic also a hospital. Near the center of town is the Stonerose Fossil Site, where both kids and adults will have fun digging and exploring for ancient fossils. The Eagle Race Track hosts car races on many weekends.

A different experience awaits in each of the 4 seasons. Come relax, enjoy, and make memories!

Great place to get away
I have stayed there twice now for a fishing trip. Its a great place for that. We launch boat at public park than dock it at the house. Works Great ! Only thing is back boat trailor at house is a challenge but we do it.

Spring break!
This was an amazing place to stay! Very clean, has everything anyone could ever need. We hiked, fished, kayaked, played games in the cozy living room in the evenings. The deck was definitely our favorite place to sit and watch the eagles make their nest and the sun set and rise! Perfect vacation. Would highly recommend this beautiful get away.

Ice fishing getaway
Wonderful cabin! It was a perfect retreat for our ice fishing getaway. The cabins layout is very open, with lots of seating, and the kitchen has tons of counter space. The owners/hosts have knocked it out of the park with the accomodations!

Tranquil Lake View
My family and I loved our short stay. We wish we could have stayed longer! The cabin is well equipped, beds are super comfortable, and the view is unbelievable. It was so peaceful just sitting on the back deck looking at the amazing view, fishing off the dock, and watching the eagles catch their meals. The surrounding area had more fishing, hiking, and a short drive into Republic for groceries and fossil digging. We definitely plan on returning!

Very nice place to stay, no complaints,.
We enjoyed the place very much, no complaints at all, some suggestions from our stay would be to repair the sliding glass door so it’s slides bucket, update the tv to newer smart tv, and stress how limited the parking is in the winter. Just some general feedback, we had a great time and would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in that area.

Great place to hang out and watch the Bald Eagle family, beaver and other creatures wonder right up close and personal. Kayaking up the Curlew creek was so amazing. We bicycled around the lake and enjoyed the ease of living on the lake. Thank you for a fun few days.

Lake retreat
The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. The upstairs had a gaming area and a TV area so if you had teens and children, it would be great for them. Unfortunately, our teens weren’t able to come but they would’ve loved it. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. I think my favorite thing is sitting on the porch in the morning watching the birds and the deer.

Weekend Getaway
We came up for a wedding at the lake and this home was so perfect for the stay! The home had everything you could need, with a beautiful view of the lake. I was very impressed with how child friendly this home was as we had a crawling 10 month old with us and it required very minimal “baby proofing”. The communication with the owners was extremely quick and so friendly! We would love to return again and would definitely recommend to anyone else!

Relaxing Curlew Weekend
Had a great time at this cozy cabin on Curlew Lake. Off the deck we saw eagles, osprey, blue heron, and turkey vultures. Turtles, beaver, muskrat and deer in and around the lake. Pulled small and large mouth bass, perch and trout right off the dock. Very calm and peaceful part of the lake. The cute campground resort less than a mile south had a very small grocery store and cute restaurant. Was nice of John to check in and make sure everything was going well. We would definitely return!

Gorgeous Location - Won't be disappointed!
This is a very beautiful location with just as beautiful accommodations. You will not be disappointed with anything in my opinion. Traveled there with my family for the Thanksgiving holiday and enjoyed a very peaceful Thanksgiving on the lake. Beautiful views, comfortable beds, and more than enough amenities. I can't say enough about the location, the accommodations, and the owners, who were very communicative and I couldn't ask more from them. I should also mention the kitchen. It is well stocked with anything you could imagine and is large enough to cook for 15 people in my opinion. Would definitely visit again with no hesitations.

Amazing
Normally the family chooses ocean stays, this time it was my turn to pick and I found this place. It exceeded ALL expectations! Beautiful location right on the lake. The balcony had a wonderful couch that I spent hours reading on. The family spent most of the time in the water floating, kayaking and having a nice relaxing time. The view was spectacular and the view for sunset was heavenly. The place was stocked with towels, extra pillows and blankets. They also had extra locks at the tops of the sliding glass door and all other doors which was perfect since my 4 yr old nephew just learned to unlock doors. They had a huge assortment of games and access to all streaming platforms. Any questions I had were answered promptly by John. This cabin will be saved for next time, absolutely a must try vacation spot!

Fishing trip
The cabin was excellent. We especially appreciated the fully appointed kitchen and full sized deck. One of our party commented on how clean the barbecue was. He prepared the entire dinner he committed to on that barbecue. Lake access was a little bit limited by not having a gentle slope on either side of the dock from which to launch our float tubes. In our case, it turned out not to be an issues. Luckly, we had access to a roomy aluminum boat and a great nearby place to launch the boat with free multi-day storage, nearby Curlew State Park. Future guests who are coming for the fishing should be advised of the really nice feature--free launching and trailer parking at the state park--as long as you possess a Washington State fishing license or guest permit. A Discovery permit, ($30), usually required of campers, is not required for simply parking a vehicle and/or trailer for multiple days. While the hosts warned us about the limited parking, it was perfectly adequate for our three vehicles. We all especially appreciated the comfy, air conditioned space after a long, hot day on the water, and I really appreciated the great water pressure in the shower. I wasn't expecting that. This is a great place to take a group fishermen.

Necessary Respite
The circumstances for our visit were less than optimal but the cabin was a cozy retreat for our weary hearts. Mom and three sisters enjoyed the ample seating, well stocked kitchen, beautiful location and cozy beds. Only one bathroom which was the one negative. Better signage for the driveway is a must especially when it’s very dark.
