Stay at home in Reno close to midtown and airport

You have your own separate space with separate entrance in a quiet residential neighborhood, 5 minutes from airport and downtown Reno. Less than one hour from Tahoe and skiing. Full large basement apartment is over 700 sq. ft. and has a separate, private entrance (with stairs) and its own backyard. Owners live upstairs. Eclectic decor - antique bedroom set, Mexican themed common spaces.
This is NOT a party house. If there is anything resembling an out of control party you will be asked to leave immediately.

The space
This is a spacious studio apartment. It occupies the entire basement of a 2 bedroom house (above), so it is quite large. The queen bedroom area is off by itself a bit and has a curtain for some privacy. The single bed has a partial room divider also. For those who need a desk space there is a very large desk, with lamp, electrical outlets and printer.

Guest access
You have access to the entire basement apartment through a private entrance on back of house, and private backyard area, entered by a separate gate to street parking.

Other things to note
A portacrib and and an air mattress are available. There are some board games and a collection of books and magazines as well as some toddler toys. Kitchen is ready for cooking and cabinets contain spices, oils, cookware, servingware and some basic foods just in case. A washer and dryer are in the apartment for you to use as well as an iron and ironing board.
I now have a rental car available for you to rent so you can avoid the long wait at the car rental counter. Reasonable rates. 7 passenger Dodge Grand Caravan. Message me for details and availability.

Great location!
Perfect location for my five day stay with my little dog. Katherine was welcoming when I arrived but I didn’t see her again until I left. Super clean, very large space with all the amenities you could hope for. The full size refrigerator/freezer and oven are above what you usually find in rental spaces that contain a microwave and coffee pot. Would definitely return for another stay. Everything was perfect!

Hidden gem in Reno
Perfect, affordable stay for me, my friend and my pup. The fenced-in yard was key which allowed me to go to our friend’s wedding without hiring a dogsitter. Basement apartment was tastefully updated with a lot of extras… coffee, hot drinks and snack’s complementary! We enjoyed our stay very much and Katherine was a great host! 5 stars!

Nice one night stay
Our family of four stayed for one night before heading on to Lake Tahoe. The accommodation is on the bottom floor/basement and the property owners live above it. The property was exactly as described and worked well for our stay. It was clean, quiet and had everything we needed.

We had never traveled with our dogs, and this host provided us with a contained space that kept the dogs safe. Our host was gracious when the dogs were louder than we had hoped. A new place was exciting to them, but they also were barking more than we thought they would.

Clean and comfortable!
We were supposed to come last year 2022, but due to wildfires and bad air quality, Katherine kindly rescheduled us to this year without any cost to us. The space is as described, spacious for our family of four. Everything is very clean and we slept very comfortably on the beds. Katherine provided everything that we needed. Highly recommended! A quiet retreat
I was very impressed with this place. Quiet, peaceful and private in the middle of Reno. The place was clean and well stocked with essentials. I was in town for an educational conference being held at a casino and this was a very welcome refuge from the noise and crowds. I was very happy with my stay here.

Close to everything! Great little cozy home
Friend and I trailered our motorcycles up from California for labor day weekend to ride the road to VC and rib cook-off! This VRBO location was beyond perfect! Close to everything we did all weekend! Good Bargain!
The owner was very accommodating and helpful with suggestions etc. A good size for 2 people and short stays as it is a basement. I felt like I had a lot of privacy and LOVED the beds!
