"We absolutely loved the hotel! The Polish lady at the reception was absolutely lovely and helpful with the restaurant recommendation. We stayed in a Superior twin room and it was much bigger than we expected. The hotel is in a heart of Lillehammer so couldn’t ask for a better location. The breakfast was delicious, so much choice! Freshly made waffles are a must to try as they are absolutely delicious! Having an additional heater in a room was amazing as it was quite cold outside when we stayed....

"On my visit to Norway I looked for a property close to where I was working. As a keen golfer I noticed the property advertised an on site golf course and driving range. This was the main reason I booked this hotel. I paid extra to fly my clubs over. To my surprise on arrival there was not a golf course in site or driving range. "The Scandic Hamar is a very clean hotel and they offer a good breakfast buffet. The beds were comfortable and the rooms well appointed. What was not so good was the staff and their attitude toward guests. They were not friendly, did not smile or offer a welcoming word. In most interactions, they seemed almost annoyed to be bothered by have to check in guests, answer questions or service the breakfast buffet. "Brilliant hotel. Perfect to visit Lillehammer. Breakfast was nice and a lovely buffet style evening meal was enough. Really loved coming back in the afternoon after a days walking to free cake and cofffee. The bed was comfy and very clean rooms. "
