"An excellent and beautiful luxury cabin. The rooms are stylishly decorated, and you can step directly from your private terrace into the embrace of the clean waters of Lake Kallavesi. In winter, ice swimming is not available in the standard cabins. The staff is amazing—always ready to help in any situation. Thank you!"

"Old beat up facility. Beds are terrible, heard water running trough the radiators all night long. Bathroom smelled of urine/feces although it was clean. No ventilation in bathroom. Chose because it was close to daughter, would not stay here again."

"Room was hot, no air conditioning, no screen on the only window that opened allowing mosquitoes in to bite us. Either that or no sleep due to being too hot. No staff, tried to contact via email but received no response."

The toilet had waste in it that was not flushed; there was hair on the shower floor and in the floor of the room; the rug was not vacuumed, as there were nail clippings on it; and the room was dusty, which could be seen on the tables and cups. "I was in Finland on business near Kuopio, and the hotels were full in that area. So, I opted to stay at Tahko Spa, about 40 minutes north. I was glad I did. My wife and I felt like part of the community. The apartment was immaculate and the staff was incredible. In all of my travels to 70 countries, the Finns are amongst the most warm and hospitable."
