"This villa was really comfortable for our family. It does need a little updating but the view alone is worth it. The outside is magnificent with a huge pool overlooking the gorgeous water and all of Cefalu. The owner Giovanni was always on call if you needed anything and was very accommodating. My only suggestion is that when you rent a car that it be a smaller one due to the winding curves and smaller alleys to get up to the villa. We were originally going to rent a big van for the...

"Our host was very friendly and helpful, giving us tips on the local region and keeping the attractive outside area clean. The patio and pool area looks across a mountain view, changing in the light from dawn to dusk. The apartment provided everything we needed including indoor and outdoor cooking facilities. Castelbuono is well served for bars, restaurants and points of interest. It sits in the Madonie nature reserve so is good for walking and wildlife ."

"First thing to say is you'll probably need a car as it's about a 40 minute walk to Castelbuono - and coming back is quite steep walking. The upside of that is you are in a very tranquil location. It's idlyllic. Hardly a sound apart from birdsong and the occasional gentle charming clang of a cowbell as (presumably) some nearby cows were being led out to pasture I booked this place because its advert focused on tranquility - and it really lived up to that. "We all had an absolutely wonderful time. Villa Cecilia is everything we hoped for, and more. We loved the design of the house and the garden, inside and out. The pool is lovely and a good size. It was perfect for relaxing. Castlebuono, the nearby town, was really worth a visit, particularly the frescos in the church crypt.
