"We had a really lovely stay here. It was off season, cold and wintery and the rooms are a bit old fashioned, but the price was very reasonable and the room was perfectly clean and in good condition. The location is very convenient and it's nice next to the little park. Laetitia made us feel extremely welcome. In warmer weather it must be amazing, with the restaurant and terrace open! I surely hope to come back some day."

"A great French country boarding house. We came at off season and had the place to ourselves! Best eggs for breakfast of our entire trip!!! Dinner at the hotel was more expensive than I expected but worth the price. Would love to have been here on a warmer day to explore the grounds but it was just too cold. If you have a car you need to explore the countryside around this place"

"Welcoming, very pleasant & helpful staff. Room clean & modern. Stairs quite steep, there is a lift to the 1st floor only, suppose because it is an older building. Food very good, beautifully presented & great flavours. Our bugbear was the flies in the buffet area & restaurant at breakfast- maybe this was weather related as it had very wet then hot. We very much enjoyed our stay"

"We really enjoyed our stay in the tiny medieval town of Sarrazac and La Bonne Famille lived up to their name with their charming hotel and restaurant. For 5 generations they have been running their business and it shows in the level of professionalism and commitment to service. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom had a large shower. "We ate at the hotel. The dining room was empty but the owner insisted we sit next to a French Couple who he conversed loudly with through out our meal, making our experience miserable, Food was mediocre."

Domaine du Château de Monrecour – Hôtel et Restaurant

Stay more than 1 night!

"1. Arrive in the daylight! This is Deep France, so it's a little confusing to find in the dark. 2. Stay in the Chateau part of the house. Our romantic room was BEAUTIFUL and just like the photos. Our -in-laws had a family room, and it was very large! 3. You should reserve for dinner since there isn't much else if you arrive in the evening. We missed it and ended up eating pizza in a parking lot! 4. Breakfast "buffet" was impressive, both the beautiful DR setting and the variety of food. Worth the $. 5. We were there in March, so still early spring, but the pool area and grounds looked very inviting for warmer weather. 6. Excellent treatment at reception for both arrival and departure. 7. Room/beds/AWESOME shower! We would love to return!"
