Fattoria degli Usignoli is a medieval hamlet which has been sensitively converted into a series of holiday apartments. This 2nd-floor apartment, under the wooden eaves, sleeps 4 people. The open plan living area has a dining table with 4 chairs and a flatscreen TV. There is a kitchenette with an induction hob and fridge. Double French windows in the living room lead out onto a private balcony.
The well-tended gardens are full of things to do. There are 2 beautiful, shared swimming pools with sun loungers and parasols. For more active guests there is a tennis court, a football pitch, table tennis, roller skating area and other children’s games.
There is a riding school on site and treks on horseback can be arranged. Guests can also rent bicycles to explore the surrounding area. The Fattoria has a communal sitting room, restaurant and a grocery shop.

Location
In the village of Pratomagno, the Fattoria is ideally located for guests to enjoy the beauty of Tuscany. Florence, with its world-famous museums and palaces, is just 32km away (52 minute drive) and Arezzo, another beautiful city, is 55 minutes to the south. The town of Greve in Chianti (55 minute drive) has many vineyards where you can try the local Chianti wines and take some bottles home.
For something more modern, The Mall, in the town of Leccio (16 minutes) is an Aladdin’s cave of designer outlets, selling the best of Italian designer brands such as Fendi, Armani, Gucci etc at heavily reduced rates. Leccio has good local shops, for fruit and vegetables as well as a small supermarket.
The abbey at Vallombrosa (22 minutes) makes an interesting day trip. Here you can see how monks lived and worked hundreds of years ago. The abbey also has extensive woodlands with hiking paths under the cool trees.
Florence’s international airport is 48 minutes away.
