"We had a lovely stay at The Old Barn, it’s well equipped, quiet and dog friendly. The parking worked well, we have a 4x4 and a tow bar mounted bike rack. We also appreciated having a secure shed for our bikes. The neighbours are friendly and made us feel welcome, we are planning to return to the cottage to explore the area further. My only comment is about recycling as we couldn’t find a recycling bin. But we did locate and use the local recycling facility, which is at The Reeth Dales Centre."

"The property was great, really thoughtfully prepared, real attention to detail eg a pint of milk, plenty of towels, washing up liquid. The cottage is lovely and warm for a winter stay, with dishwasher and washing machine available, parking by the door. The location is beautiful, surrounded by Swaledale, but very convenient in the centre of the village with pubs and shops. The only issue was booking via VRBO, emails were not sent and payment did not go through, had to call and be on hold for...

"We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. The check in process was stressful as I didn’t appear to have the code to the lock box and although I emailed to ask twice, I only received the automated response. Fortunately, a local neighbour was able to give it to us after seeing proof of booking."
