Renovated to a high standard, this beautifully styled property sleeps three guests across two bedrooms with a living room, fully equipped kitchen and a shower room, while the bungalow also boasts an enclosed, dog friendly garden making it a perfect choice for relaxing getaways.
The Space:
Sands Walk Cottage boasts a stunning modern kitchen which is fully equipped for self-catering staycations. Here you can make use of an oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster and washing machine.
The bright and welcoming living area has a comfortable corner sofa and a flat screen TV, creating a lovely place to unwind with your loved ones. After a busy day, you can kick back on the sofa and keep up with your favourite shows on Freeview or streaming apps. Also sharing this space is the dining area which features a smooth, black table and four chairs.
Sands Walk Cottage has two beautiful bedrooms. The master bedroom has two comfortable single beds, decked out in plush bedding and premium bed linens to ensure you have a great night’s sleep. These beds can be merged to form a super-king upon request if this is more suitable for your stay.
The second bedroom has a single bed offering a relaxing night's sleep amongst a cosy azure blue colour scheme. An additional trundle bed can also be made up upon request prior to your arrival, increasing the total occupancy to four.
Head out the patio doors from the second bedroom and into the private garden, where you and your fellow guests can take in the fresh sea air together. Take a seat on the patio as you enjoy your morning coffee, or even a late night tipple. Fully enclosed, you won’t need to worry about your little ones or four-legged friends.
The family bathroom has a walk-in shower, WC and wash basin.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to Sands Walk Cottage are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay.
Private on-site parking is available for one vehicle, while free on-street parking is also available nearby on a first come, first served basis.
A maximum of two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Sands Walk Cottage per reservation.
The Neighborhood:
Marske-by-the-Sea is a delightful village located on the North Yorkshire coast, less than 10 minutes from Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Redcar. The village square is packed with independent businesses, including dog-friendly cafes, pubs, micropubs and restaurants.
Sands Walk Cottage is just moments from Marske Valley Gardens where you can explore walkways lined with beautiful flowers. Head to Marske Sands and you’ll find a long stretch of gently sloping sandy beach. The famous Cleveland Way snakes its way across the cliff tops and along the beach to Saltburn and beyond.
Neighbouring Saltburn-by-the-Sea is a great place to visit during your stay. Take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade and you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The long sandy shores are overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts and high cliffs tower in the distance.
You can also find popular villages and towns such as Staithes, Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby further along the coast.
Getting Around:
Sands Walk Cottage is within walking distance of all that Marske has to offer, within 5 minutes’ drive time of Saltburn and 20 minutes to Staithes, Middlesbrough and the delightful North Yorkshire Moors.
Longbeck Train Station is a short walk away and has routes to Redcar, Middlesbrough and Darlington with connecting trains to Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester and London.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Marske. Hop on the Arriva X4 route and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Staithes, Runswick Bay, Sandsend and Whitby.
The closest airport is Teesside International, 24 miles from Marske.
