"we did late-check-in. but the way that pass the key was really irresponsible and NOT safe, I think. I didnt realize her contact & 24hour contact didn't work, so we took long time to check-in (Guimaraes might be a safe place, but...😥😫) Also "the reception opens at 10am" is too late. the price is really reasonable if guests don't do late-check-in. "

"Loved the pool, very nice hosts, great breakfast, room was nice, however the description of amenities is not accurate - there was not air conditioning in the room, or is there a restaurant or pool side bar, which left us stuck for lunch when enjoying the pool. We booked a rook with river view but did not receive it. That all being said we did enjoy the place - but just beware or what is not accurate "

"We had 2 rooms and they were both extremely clean and so picturesque. It was a rainy night and our room was a bit chilly but fortunately my son and his girlfriend in the other room prefer a cool room we used the extra blanket in their room and had a cozy sleep. The only less comfortable part was that there was only a single pillow per person and they were a bit small. The breakfast the next morning was amazing, with so much variety and homemade goodness."

"The owner, Silvio, couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating. The property is unique, beautiful and comfortable. In addition there was a lovely welcome gift of wine and pastries on the kitchen table when we arrived. Silvio has also created a website with all the information his guests could possibly need while visiting. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property."

"It was a Big surprise when we pulled up in front of the property! This was a 17th Century “Casa” which is still owned by the members of the founding family. It was like entering a museum. There were original portraits of the family going back 4-5?generations. Original furniture. The hostess was very kind and the breakfasts were delicious with fruit, cheese, meat, fresh fruit, local artisan baked goods 2 kinds of juice , coffee and teas. Could not have asked for more! Would highly recommend this...

"great accommodation but SO hard to find. the directions given in the confirmation mail and googlemap is so out it is not funny. we had to ask directions on 3 occasions after we reached the spot indicated by googlemap. it would have been a lot simpler if the future guests are directed to the RTA sports ground along the same road as this is where the reception lies. also no wifi in the studio."

"My husband and I spent our honeymoon here, and it was truly delightful. We were welcomed warmly and treated to lots of special touches, including lemonade at check in and chocolates at bedtime. The owner is amazingly gracious and gave us a detailed tour of the house, which is a real treat for anyone interested in historic homes. It's beautifully maintained with a spectacular garden and pool--plus the cutest chocolate labrador named Mel."

"We was greeted by Paulo what a very friendly guy who showed us everything about the villa and took me on a tour of where to get the train and local supermarket. This place is quite away from Porto but don’t let this put you off I would recommend you get the uber app they are so cheap and book an uber from the airport we was charged 45 euros by a taxi but we booked an uber for the return back to the airport which was 21 that was for a large vehicle normal car was 13 . "
