Beautiful but missing some tender, love and care
The place is amazing but a lot of things need upgrading and repairing including the ovens, some beds are breaking. The outdoor area needs some serious maintenance as the grass is very long and the pool is neglected. Nonetheless it is serene and if the above adjustments are made I'll definitely recommend and be back myself

Good but old and needs repairs
Amazing area, view. Large property and nice outside fire pit. Lot of space and 3 fridge in kitchen. As a large group of dad and kid was good for us. Not very nice if looking for a modern manor. Obviously owner not investing in expensive repairs The central heating, sauna, spa, and several electric heater not working. Place is run down and need some TLC. Carpet very stained. Not sure why fireplaces are off limits, obviously been used and with no proper heating it was very cold for the kids. Would make the place much more comfortable. No firewood unless you willing to collect off the property Overall did the job for us but don’t expect a nice and modern place for the fussy visitors.

The out look was amazing and the size of the property suited us but it would have been nice to have been given advanced notice that the ovens didn’t work and had been replaced with smaller portable ovens. This made it hard to do a family roast. Everyone enjoyed seeing the animals but they shared our space too much sometimes. Overall you can see it was a beautiful big house but it now requires a lot of maintenance

Amazing property
This place is amazing and exceeded our expectations. We had our wedding nearby in Camden and had our close family and friends stay in this mansion with us. We have never stayed in a place so big. Yes the place is a bit run down and dated and could definitely use some maintenance and love but it honestly didn’t affect us much at all as we all loved it so much. There aren’t many holiday rental places available that can match the size and fit the amount of people in it. The road/driveway into the house could definitely do with some love as there were some big pot holes. But all in all this house was perfect for our needs and everyone was amazed with it. We also loved sharing the property with the alpacas and pony.

A nightmare.
Do not stay here. The driveway was unusable due to severe potholes, we all had to hike up - the owner never even disclosed this. The place is SO old, falling apart, the double futon beds are not beds, extremely thin foam mats. I would never recommend anyone to stay here. The kitchen is ancient and dated, surprised we could even cook anything. We spent over an hour cleaning the place when we arrived, random things left everywhere - fans, christmas trees, bikes, outdoor stuff. Not professionally cleaned or managed clearly in need of urgent repairs and renovations. The horse needs water, no one we could see was attending to this. There was not enough toilet paper we ran out, the host was not helpful at all. He wants to sell the place and isn't maintaining it. The images make it look nicer than it is, we feel decieved. The nicest thing about the place is the view outside and farmlands surrounding.

Great fun in a house that would have been spectacular 25 years ago & could be again.
As per reviews we had read before we came, this place needs a fair amount of work & a really good clean in order to be considered a premium property, but if you are laid back about that sort of thing & can overlook the dirt & wear & tear, there are some great aspects to it. Unfortunately we had a cold, wet weekend, so the pool wasn't really an option & we simply could not get the spa to heat up, plus the water (filled from a tank) smelled really bad so even had we managed to warm it, I'm not we would have braved it! But the towels & linens were all spotless, the kitchen is pretty well kitted out, the location is excellent & we had heaps of fun with the pool table, the ping pong, & the karaoke machine. It is pretty pricey for what it is but I guess given the lack of options for places close to Sydney of that size, it's a property owner's market to a degree. All in all, we had a really great time & with a bit of a spruce up, this place could be really something.

Family Reunion
The property is perfect for a large family gathering. Great proximity to Sydney. We had 15 adults and 13 children. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. Sheets and towels were pristine and beds comfortable. So many activities for adults and kids, both indoor and outdoor. The house must have been magnificent in its day but is in need of some tlc now. Our main concern was the inadequacy of the kitchen when catering for a large number of people. Both wall ovens don’t work and have been replaced with small portable ovens which are not big enough for large baking dishes. Tho cooktop needs to be replaced with a much larger one and the bbq also needs to be much bigger. However, we had the best time and were able to relax because the house is not too precious with young kids. We enjoyed the company of the 2 llamas and the pony who freely roam around the house. The llama even paid us a visit after we arrived so best to keep the doors shut! Thank you. Would love to return one day.

Lovely old farm stay manor for our big family reunion - yet critical home improvements required ASAP
We stayed at the Razorback manor for the October 2023 long weekend - 23 adults & 5 children under 10 years. Positives: - 10 bedrooms were spacious to fit 28 people under one roof - Beautiful scenic country farm surrounds so peaceful & tranquil all to ourselves - Large living areas including spacious kitchen, dining room, living room, games room and more - Pool was clean & tropical with the palm trees - Lots of entertainment options including pool, spa, sauna, table tennis, karaoke, arcade games and more - Air conditioning worked well upstairs only - Close to Camden & Picton amenities Negatives: - Both ovens did not work - this was not communicated in advance. The back-up air-fryers were too small to fit standard dishes. This is a basic requirement that needs to be fixed ASAP. - Only 2 of the BBQ burners worked. We ran out of gas after only 1 breakfast cook-up. There was no additional gas to cook with. - A few of the upstairs beds had squeaky frames so guests had to move the mattress to the floor to sleep on. - The horse kept biting the alpacas & were harmful to the children. To protect themselves, the alpacas sprayed a green odour mist which landed on guests so unpleasant. Plus, concerns around the animals welfare as their big blue water bowl wasn't filled up daily so we did - Air conditioning did not function well downstairs - Basic master downstairs bedroom repairs required including squeaky bathroom door, non-working door locks & no light in walk-in wardrobe

Overall an average place to stay, some highlights
Initially I messaged several months prior to the stay with an enquiry just after I booked the place. I never received a response to this enquiry which had a number of important questions. However, I had no option but to proceed with the booking. I did receive the normal message the day before with rules and check in instructions. Upon arrival, the property and area is very spacious, there is good entertainment options ranging from a clean pool, pool table, table tennis, karaoke, a mostly working arcade game etc. This aspect was great. All the beds were comfortable with plenty of available linen and the place overall presented nicely. The issues we wanted to raise were regarding some urgently required repairs to the driveway, with large potholes and no lights that if you’re not especially cautious could cause considerable damage to one’s vehicle. We found some areas such as doors and windows that need repairs. This unfortunately led to a large quantity of bugs and a single lizard getting into the house. Then this also led to a significant number of dead bugs around the place. Our favourite aspect of this place is the wildlife, there’s two free roaming llamas that are hanging around all the time, such a great aspect to the place. There were also deer, rare birds, horses and similar. I would say if the owners invested some money into this place and addressed some of the major issues, this could be a really awesome place to stay.

Weekend Retreat
The house was good overall however in the kitchen the ovens were out of order. We were not told of this despite us asking about the kitchen specifically before hand. For big groups, the kitchen is very important. It also lacked various utensils and large pots. We struggled to make things work during our stay. Another major drawback was that the airconditioning in the house didn't work. There were some heaters in the rooms but the large spaces couldn't be heated. It's not the best option in colder seasons. Upstairs carpet was wet. The furniture in general is quite old. The photos were somewhat in accurate in how the house and the furniture are displayed. Despite all this, it's a good house for large groups. Other aspects of the venue was good with a pool, sauna and spa. Lots of space and being on an acreage gives you privacy. It had great views.

Went on a roadtrip with friends. Great place, good space, clean rooms and bathrooms. Facilities are overall very accommodating! Only downside is the drive into the manor, the roads are very rough and unless you drive carefully and slowly, you’ll likely scratch and damage your bumpers. Other than that, great!

Great house for groups of families
If you are looking for a high end contemporary get away this isn’t for you. If you’re looking for an enormous house where your families can have enough space to be comfortably together and relax without being precious, it’s perfect!! We had 20 adults and 15 kids (3-15) and we had the funnest weekend. The kids love the house and all the extras it comes with. Karaoke, movie room, ping pong and the best hide and seek venue they’ve ever had. Plus, a great party room. The house is a lot more expansive than the photos show, so in all the business and noise of big groups there is still enough space to find quiet spots and for adults to hang out without being interrupted by the kids who are too busy having fun to need mum or dads attention. For the cost and proximity to Sydney I think you’ll be hard pushed to find better value for money. You need to know- the road in is long and heavily potholed and has steep sections. In dry weather we had 2wds make it, but low suspension is no go and 4wd recommended. Also the kitchen is workable with air fryers, stove top and small worktop ovens but the big ovens do not work. We brought our own burners and cooked paella out side and organised BBQs. The house is well lived in and shabby round the edges but that for us meant we didn’t feel on edge telling the kids to be extra careful every 5 mins. Everyone loved the house and location. We will very likely be back.

INCREDIBLE PROPERTY!
What an amazing home. Seriously, the sheer size and scope of the home and land is hard to fathom, and I don’t even think the photos do the Place justice.. it’s HUGE. So much room for fun and activities. Yes, same as other reviewers mention, it is a little dated and a few little repairs needed here and there.. But I don’t think that detracted from our experience at all. Thanks for having us!

The spot was just gorgeous, and the house spacious. However the place is in urgent need of repairs and maintenance. We understand that houses as they age can get rundown, but this wasn’t a case of it being a bit tired, in fact there were a few serious safety issues needing resolving. Given the setting, scale and potential of the house, with some investment it could be a magnificent property.

This property is incredible. It has a lot of character. We rented this property for my 30th and it was the perfect venue - so much to do and see. The place is far from immaculate in its cleanliness, but this was a huge benefit as it allowed everyone to relax and enjoy themselves; as it didnt feel like we had to walk on eggshells in a 5-star resort.

Renting was easy but communication with property owner was difficult. The property is very old and hardly maintained. Grass was too long and was cut on our second day of our arrival and not everywhere. The spa was not clean and not filled also no chlorine used to keep the hygiene. Not enough kitchen wear no sandwich press or coffee machine. Fly screens some are missing and the others are full of holes.

December getaway - Large group of families
What a pleasant surprise to arrive at the property with a huge Christmas tree by the front door and a few other decorations for our stay the week before Christmas. Our group consisted of 7 families, 14 adults and 17 kids. The property was spacious enough for every adult and child to have a place to chill out and relax. There were plenty of facilities to keep us entertained, but we didn't even get time to use them all. The swimming pool was a hit as it was hot everyday we were there. The aircon kept the inside of the house comfortable, however the kitchen area didn't seem to cool down as much as the rest of the house. The evenings were enjoyed out the back with the wonderful views over the valley. The kids enjoyed the grass sleds and everyone chatted over the firepit gazing up at the stars. (Thanks for providing the woodfire) The place wasn't 5 stars and spotless, but we didn't mind. There were plenty of bathrooms and toilets to accommodate the 31 of us and they were generally clean. The linen and towels were provided and clean. The furniture and furnishings were well used and as expected for the age of the property. Maybe there could be a bit more table space or hanging hooks for some of the bedrooms. There were 3 small fridges which seemed to struggle with the heat in the kitchen and for our large group, but we were able to use the huge bar fridge in the TV/pool room for some of our food and drinks. There was plenty of crockery and utensils for our group, but wished there were more serving ware to dish food up or bowls and platters to use for preparing food. We had some safety concerns about the spa/sauna with little kids about, but kept an eye on the area. Overall, it was a lovely location to spend 5 days with our friends and their families. There aren't too many properties like this. The accommodation met most of our needs for a great escape at the end of the year and not too many complaints about it.
