"This was my first time staying here, and I would definitely stay here again! It was clean, quiet and comfortable, and the homemade breakfasts were delicious! Buck and Cleo were very friendly, as were the other guests who I met during my stay. Easy check-in and check-out. Booked a room with a private bathroom. Close to both Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. "

"We spent one day and night at this hotel. Beautiful view of the Whiteface mountains. Very home like atmosphere. Nice rooms with everything you need. Owner of the place very nice and helpful. Lots of toys for kids to play with. My 2 and 4 year old had a blast there. Huge living room with tables board games tv etc. I would definitely recommend it and come back there again."

"What a truly great experience. Having been in Keene Valley in the same house 50 years ago, it was a pleasure to see it being cared for and run and such a beautiful way. Kelly, the manager, couldn’t have been More delightful. Preparing breakfast and always there for questions or advice on where to go out to dinner or tge next mountain to climb.. It was a perfect weekend and I’m looking forward to going back thank you Keene valley lodge."

"We highly recommend the Bark Eater Inn!!!!! The Bark Eater Inn is in a beautiful, quiet location, minutes from everything!! My husband and I had no idea how much we were going to enjoy our stay, or we would have booked to stay longer!! The food is incredibly delicious. The host and hostess, Meghan and Tyler are warm, friendly, super people. They welcomed us into their home and encouraged us to explore the acres of property. I just happened to pick this place after a long day of hiking and traveling, only to discover how nice it was after. Clean cabins with wonderful owners. Close to everything in the nearby towns, but feels like you’re deep in the woods for a retreat. 10/10. "

"We had a lovely restful week in this well-appointed cabin in the woods. The walls, floors, and even the ceilings are made of wood all assembled by a ream of excellent carpenters. The kitchen is highly functional and well-outfitted. The stove works very well. The living areas are very comfortable as are the bedrooms. We enjoyed the wood stove. The cabin is located at the end of a 100 foot / 30 meter driveway. and is surrounded by forest. We spent many nights sitting on the covered porch...
