great stay
this home is perfect for 4,enough places to sit, comfortable beds, and a fully stocked kitchen. This home is very clean,the air conditioner works great with one in each room too! No laundry but its close by. This home is close to shopping, Mt Rushmore, Bear Country, reptile Garden and much more. The contact person was available for anything needed or questions. Water and snack left for us. has coffee and some spices in the cupboard. Our stay was special with our Grandson and my brother . thank you for everything!!

very dissapointing
at first we thought it was cute but once we settled in we found out more and more that were disheartening to us, first it was that there is another permanent renter on site, then there is no washer or dryer and just 2 loads of laundry at the local laundromat is $29.00 x 4people for almost a month, this adds up and was another thing one of us had to spend time doing every few days. Then there is only a wall unit A/C it does not cool all the way to the bedrooms so we slept most nights on the floor in the living room and dinning area., this was quite uncomfortable for all of us. the temperatures reached 95-103 most of the days we were there. I was bitten by some kind of insect(s) on my hairline/neckline, i have several bites/bumps in this area and only noticed them after we had been sleeping on the floor. There is not enough hot water for 4 people to take showers each day so we would split our shower time to 2 at night and 2 in the morning. There is a fly infestation, they were everywhere, swarms of them in the house, in the cars. we hung up fly paper to try and control it but there was no relief while we were at the residence, we didnt expierence this when we were out of the home, so we knew there is some kind of infestation, The man living in the downstairs apartment said it used to be mosquitos and now its flies. we had no vaccuum or mop and no services were offered to clean the home for this long of a stay. all we were alloted was the bedding and towels being washed and we did that evey week since we were sleeping on the floor. we stayed in this home for 26 days, we looked for other accomadations but everything was full or could not accomadate us for the time we were needing. we spent alot of money for this rental and it was definatley NOT worth it. we are very very unhappy.

We really enjoyed the location of the lake.
The home was not easy to find with navigation. The road leading to the home is very narrow and only one vehicle can travel on it at a time. That being said, the home was very clean. There is ample cookware for any meal that would need to be prepared. The on site grill was a nice bonus. The home was clean and nicely presented. The owners also supplied a cooler and lawn chairs for use. Down side is the very narrow stairs to the apartment. The apartment could use some updates. All in all the management was easy to work with.

Apartment was clean and had everything we needed. We needed to modify the reservation to add a day to our stay, and everyone involved in modifying the stay was attentive and it was taken care of timely.
