"We loved our experience at Murphy's Place! We came up here for a Birthday/Valentine's Day weekend vacation, and we stayed busy the whole time! There is so much to do around the VRBO. Lots of wineries, breweries, shopping, and more!!! Charlottesville is a quick 20 mins away or so and Wintergreen Resort is about the same, but the opposite direction. We cannot wait to stay here again in the near future!! Big thanks to the hosts for making us feel comfortable and at home! "

"Easy check in. Is well equipped in the kitchen. I love the keurig it’s both a single cup with the option of a pot. Very cozy clean & updated. Great shower. Comfortable King bed & 2 twins in 2nd BR. Amazingly this town is quiet with a regular train 2 or 3 that you hear at a distance. We have always loved Staunton & surrounding areas. "We had a fabulous time!! We loved how clean and fresh everything looked! The fabulous little town within walking distance. We did the Let’s Roam app and explored all over by walking!! The only negative thing was the smell when you first walked in. Some air freshener plug ins may be helpful. But other than that it was really a great place. We will book again!!! "

"The date of my stay was Sun Feb 9 - Tues Feb 11, 2025. It was a great place to stay with beautiful views. Our stay was short. We were there for my son to participate in WASI- Wintergreen Alpine Special Invitational. Travel to the Mountain Inn for ski competition and celebration was easy. I really enjoyed having the full kitchen so we could make breakfast each day. The washer and dryer were helpful for keeping ski bibs clean and dry."

"We had such a nice getaway weekend at The Chestnut House. The Heiston’s went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. The house was beautiful, cozy, and quiet. While sitting outside, the only thing we could hear was the relaxing sound of the river running through the backyard. The hosts made us feel very welcome and made it a wonderful experience.
