"Really nice location with a great view. Some utilities upgrade would be welcomed - iron board but no iron. No large knives, just three tiny ones to cut (good luck with Watermon). Swimming pool amazing and clean. Pascale very welcoming. Badminton racquets could also be replaced, as all had snapped strings. Not too far away from Vin de Alsace route - half an hour drive.."

"Elegant decor and fresh flowers on arrival made our arrival very special. This is the best presented property we have ever been lucky enough to find. Comfortable furniture and spacious rooms. Good outdoor furniture for a summer evening. Menil is a classic French agricultural village on a hilltop setting. Peaceful and calm but close to plenty of walking trails and historic settings. The house, the place, and the wonderful hosts are highly recommended."

Vom Haus aus ist man gleich im Wald oder auf Wiesen. Lydia Kommer ist eine sehr herzliche, aufmerksame und sympathische Gastgeberin. "What went well, Great house which has a lot of history, great amenities well equipped kitchen, great location as soon as you leave the house you are in nature and hiking starts right there. Garden is huge and kids loved it, BBQ is available and we used it several times. Owners are really nice I can not stress how much I wish we could have been able to spend more time with Christian and Nicole but as we are not fluent in French we had a bit of a language barrier (we hope to learn more French...

"The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. The large house had more to offer than expected (e.g. toys for children, BBQ, books, and many cooking devices to cook and bake). We loved the quiet area and the garden with petanque, swings, tables, BBQ, tomatoes, mint, and many other wonderful delicacies. Thank you very much for this resting stay!"

"We picked this house for a family reunion and to celebrate our mother's 80th birthday. We couldn't have chosen anything better. The house itself is lovely with 5 good bedrooms, a spacious dining room and plenty of outside seating on the terrace. The best feature though is the garden, secure for kids and the family dog and absolutely massive. As per description the kitchen is small, but in combination with the conservatory it worked fine. Hopefully we can return at some point in the future."
