I booked two deluxe rooms. One room was fine, spacious with an en-suite but the other was poor, very small, unable to open a suitcase on the floor, no en-suite, bathroom was down the corridor. Bed linen was shabby and cheap. Certainly not “deluxe”. How the hotel can charge the same price for these two rooms is beyond belief.
I bumped into the chef in his full chefs whites at 7am when I was coming out from the toilet in my nightie. Had I known I had a trip down the corridor I would’ve brought slippers and a dressing gown. My husband had to get dressed to pee in the night. I think the bathroom is described as “private” but there is nothing private about it and it only locked from the inside so you couldn’t leave anything in it.
Breakfast was poor, in a box left on the floor outside the room. A hard croissant, a long life croissant and a fight with my husband over who got the banana which was straight out of the fridge. I felt that the chef was slightly overdressed for such fare, delusions of grandeur maybe.
The other room had bottled water but ours didn’t.
The only staff around were two teenage girls who were delightful but a bit inexperienced.
My brother in law was asked to get out of the shower as they had a leak downstairs.
Overall a very disappointing experience and I would not recommend this place to anyone.
