"We especially liked the small, privacy-fenced backyard. It was perfect for our newly rescued dog, who is anxious in new spaces. With the warm, breezy weather, we enjoyed being outside. This would be our choice in the colder months without an indoor sitting area to watch TV.The owner took great pains to offer small, welcome amenities such as lovely bath items, a warm welcome note, and other notable finds—good coffee, creamer, and Spring water. The location was a quiet neighborhood, but walking distance to the grocery store if needed. The price was perfect."

"Stayed for a wedding anniversary party. Will return for the BBQ and Slayton Bakery. Will not hesitate to stay at this Retro Bungalow again.....much preferred over a hotel."

"This hotel is disgusting. The comforter on the bed had burn holes from people smoking. The white bed sheets were yellowed as well as the pillow cases. Not to mention the sheets full of hair i assume from the last people who stayed. There is something unidentifiable smeared on the wall behind the toilet in room 220. The night stand drawer was full of trash, a cigar wrapper, a dirty tissue and other things. The best was the dried bloody finger/hand print on the inside of the door. Ive never been to Slaton and wont be back. Dont stay here! "
