"A simple lodge with awesome views! I was gently greeted by the rising sun. No Aircon but temperatures were between 16 to 18 degrees Celsius in the early morning. You need to be moderately fit to climb down 2 flights of stairs to reach your room. The road up is very tight and big cats may have difficulties going uphill in the tight environment. Hotel manager Priyanatha helped me book a very punctual Tuk Tuk that fetched me up and down. Thank you!"

"The Cubes is a modern clean hotel with comfortable beds and amazing views. The service provided by the team is fantastic and they will do and arrange anything to make your stay enjoyable. The hotel is out of town and is very quiet. Nice if you want to get away from the buzz of Ella. It’s a short Tuk Tuk ride away, which again the team will organise (500lkr each way). We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast there as well and would thoroughly recommend the hotel. "

"Really enjoyed our stay at Ella Retreat. The glamping tent was ideal for us, spacious and comfortable, and the balcony overlooking the waterfall was amazing! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, organising our (very tasty) meals, tuktuks and laundry. "

"We had a wonderful time in this beautiful and peaceful property. The spacious rooms have a fantastic view and we loved the restaurant offering yummy and fresh food - loved the freshly cut fruit at the breakfast 💚 I would say the biggest highlight are the experiences offered by the hotel with their experienced and amazing naturalist guide Sudheerah who brought us around in a beautiful walk and shared many interesting insights about the the nature and the wildlife here. We highly recommend to take these tours if you come here as it makes a big difference vs going where everyone else goes!! The staff is very very nice and welcoming and we are really grateful for the beautiful hospitality "
