5/5 Excellent
Ripplecove is a treasure.
"We visited here 5 years ago and had lovey time im the summer. But seeing the pictures of it in the winter made we want to go back then. And I am so glad we did. We met friends there and had a fabulous January weekend. The snow made for a beautiful setting. We could have crosscountry skiied but ended up using the hotel's skates for a little ice skating. The food was very special. We ate one night in the "fancy" restaurant and one night at the bar which had a more accesible menu with reasonable prices. Since it was a weekend they only had a full brunch buffet available ($55) which was a lot two mornings in a row. We requested a room in the original inn with a lake view and were upgraded to a room with a balcony and fireplace. The large beautifully decorated room had 2 easy chairs. The staff was very friendly with excellent English. The biggest treat of all came on Saturday night when the hotel provides a carriage ride for it's guests. In the snowy setting it couldn't have been more perfect. We'll be back."
