We held a family reunion for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. This ranch lodge housed all the children and their spouses, and 14 grandchildren comfortably, about 20 people overall. It was cozy enough for personal conversation and large enough for all to have their own space. The property managers were so easy to communicate with and very accommodating. The third floor was enjoyed by the older grandchildren, while adults and under 6 kids took the first and second floors. The fishing was excellent, the donkeys would take carrots from your hands, the zebras were aloof but content to stand nearby, and the bobcats were amazing to see so close up. We also saw deer running through the property and the owners dogs had just had puppies so the kids were loving them as well. We had an escorted outing to see a few of the oldest Pecan trees in Texas located right on the property. This reunion will be one of the families most memorable trips and we couldn't have asked for much more. One side note is the kitchen has all the basics you need for simple meals, but if you want to get fancy be sure and bring your own specialty pan, cookware, or utensil. There is also a Wal-mart very close to the ranch's entrance to pickup any items you need. We had no problems with finding items that we ran out of, or forgot to pack. Can't wait for our next visit to the Ranch!
