The luxurious 2 bedrooms mansion in Quinéville  with stunning views is suitable for families and groups of friends, can accommodate 4 persons. From there you'll have your own, private part of the garden, where you can sit out on the terrace and enjoy a nice barbecue meal. 

You can enjoy various walking tours from your house. Within 800 m, you'll find the small town centre of Quinéville, which has a bakery, mini market, restaurant and the well-known World War II Museum. Here, you also have direct access to the beautiful wide sandy beach, which is 1 km away.

This fully equipped apartment is on the first (top) floor of a building that houses two apartments and has a living with dining room having TV, dining table and fireplace, an open kitchen with modern appliances, furnished bedrooms and bathroom. The nicely landscaped park garden has many lovely spots to sit and relax with a book, either in the sun or in the shade. 

Fontenay sur Mer is the nearest airport from the house is only 6 km far away.

Eine wirklich große geräumige Wohnung, sehr sauber und es ist alles vorhanden was das Herz begehrt. Aus einem der Schlafzimmer blickt man direkt auf den ca. 1-2 km entfernten Atlantik. Möglichkeiten zum Einkaufen sind etwa 10 bis 20 Minuten im Umkreis entfernt. Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und die Verständigung klappt auch ohne gute französisch Kenntnisse. Zwei Hinweise noch für Paare mit Kindern oder ältere Paare. Die Wohnung liegt im 1. Obergeschoss. Und in diesem Teil Frankreichs gibt es kaum bis gar keine Fuß- oder Radwege ... ein Spaziergang zum Strand ist also mit etwas Aufmerksamkeit verbunden. Ansonsten ist die Region sehr schön und man kann von Dortmund viele Punkte der Normandie (ob Kriegsschauplätze oder einfach Menschen, Städte und Natur) sehr gut innerhalb einer Stunde Fahrzeit mit dem PKW erreichen. Wir waren insgesamt 7 Tage dort und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Es ist eine wunderschöne Wohnung und der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und auf jeden Fall hilfsbereit. Es gibt WLAN, aber die Qualität ist nicht das, was wir in den Niederlanden gewohnt sind. Einen Film mit mehreren Personen zu schauen, ist nicht möglich (selbst die Nachrichten auf einem Fernseher zu sehen, ist ein ziemliches Unterfangen). Die Wohnung liegt in einer wunderschönen Gegend und ist ein Ausgangspunkt, um den westlichen Teil der Landungsstrände zu erkunden.

Quaint Normandy
This place is EXACTLY what I had always hoped country Normandy would be. Our host greeted us upon arrival and was very helpful. He spoke little English but we worked it out without any problems. It is in the country but only a 15-20 minute drive to plenty of good restaurants. Very near St Maire Eglise and the airborne museum. Reasonable drive to the Dday sites. Bayeux would be a little more centrally located but I wanted country livin. I do suggest a dinner in Bayeux. It is a beautiful town. The apartment is large and beds were comfy. Nice breeze and around 65f at night so perfect for leaving the windows open to sleep. The stairs to get up to the apartment are a little steep. We are already planning a trip back and will stay here again if we can. Be sure and throw the ball for the dog!

Een zeer ruime verzorgde woning met uitzicht op zee. Zeer aardige eigenaar. Strand en dorp goed te voet te bereiken. Bakker aanwezig. Hele leuke dorpen in nabije omgeving, St Vaast (Oesters....), Barfleur (met de te beklimmen vuurtoren), Ste Mere Eglise (bekend van de de parachutist die in de kerktoren hangt, kijk ook eens naar de ramen in de kerk) en Quettehou (grote supermarkt). Bij interesse in WW2 natuurlijk heel veel te zien. Veel musea binnen 45 minuten rijden.

Het was een geweldige week! De eigenaar van het huis is een hele vriendelijke man. Hij begroette ons hartelijk en had al onze namen uit zijn hoofd geleerd! Ook kregen we later in de week vers geplukte pruimen uit eigen tuin. Hij maakt graag een praatje, maar laat je helemaal met rust als je wil. We hebben ons echt thuis gevoeld! De tuin is volledig omheind en onze hond mocht vrij rondlopen. Omgeving is prachtig. Het is niet ver van Utah beach en alle omliggende toeristische plekken m.b.t. WOII. In het dorp is niet veel te doen, maar wel een prachtig (zand)strand.

Huisje is goed bereikbaar, aan doorgaande weg. Tuin is afgesloten met heggen dus fijn voor de hond om onder toezicht te spelen met de hond van de eigenaren. Huiseigenaar is vriendelijk maar spreekt Engels op zn Frans, niet dus... accommodatie is prachtig met zorg ingericht, bad is erg fijn en openhaard romantisch. Op er het strandlopen richting St. Vaast la Hougue is erg mooi, verder is het met de auto een goeie uitvalsbasis om de mooie plekjes van Normandië te ontdekken!

Aankomst zeer vriendelijk echter Engels is nagenoeg 0. Maar we begrepen elkaar. Accommodatie ziet er goed en netjes uit. Vaatwasser, wasmachine , Senseo , broodrooster, pannen top, fornuis top. Bedden goed, Douche en Bad goed. Enig min punt gordijnen waren te kort ... maar het was allemaal net nieuw en de nieuwe waren al besteld. Zitje en ligstoelen ok maar je moet wel de trap af. Vers eigengebakken brood gehad van verhuurders .Binnen 1 uur rijden heb je hier heel West Normandië binnen bereik. Dichts bij zijnde strand toch wel even wandelen ging maar er zijn betere.
