"The house is located on top of a hill surrounded by beautiful countryside. The owners who live next door were very kind and helpful. There are only two houses on that hill. They are totally isolated, and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. The house is well equiped with everything you need. We spent a lovely week. Château de la Roche is worth a visit, as well as Lyon easily reachable by train from Tarare a town half an hour away from the gîte. ."

"Michel and Mireille are delightful hosts. They were attentive to our needs while respecting our privacy. The setting was idyllic but the drive up to the gite is not for the faint hearted. It was peaceful, scenic and very hot (we were there during la canicule). We had problems though with the Internet connection (not something we have experienced in France before) which mattered because we needed to work online during the week. "Well equipped, tastefully decorated, comfortable. Plenty of storage for cases and accessories. Beds very comfortable, great shower! Good secluded patio area with plenty of seating and the benefit of a small pool. Off road, safe and secure parking. Good WiFi. Area excellent for touring the Beaujolais region with great local road connectivity. Our warm and friendly hosts were more than generous leaving wine and basic provisions for a few breakfasts.
