"Truly recommend to stay at Chaullay Salkantay Hostel during your Salkantay trek. The place has exceeded our expectations (especially after other lodges during the trek). "The staff was very friendly. The hotel isn't in good shape due to construction. It took half an hour to check us in because our room wasn't ready. Our toilet didn't flush, which I learned the hard way, and it was embarrassing to have 3 people come to the room to fix it. I stayed in the room for an hour while people came in and out, which wasted the small amount of time I was in Aquas Clients. "There were better options, so I’m not sure why we chose this place. Nobody spoke English, which was more our fault then theirs, but still made things slightly incovienent. We booked three nights, and we needed to cancel two of those nights, but they wouldn’t work with us & we couldn’t communicate, so we were forced into paying for all three nights. The photos make this place look better than it actually is. Not worth $36 per night. There are much better places to stay for cheaper."
