Holiday home in the vineyards - Quinten am Walensee - can only be reached on foot or by boat
Family friendly, comfortably furnished holiday home (140m2) at the foot of the Churfirsten mountains, situated 200m from Quinten harbour. Unique panoramic views over Lake Walensee and the Glarus Alps in the south, and over the steep, towering slopes of the Churfirsten mountains in the north. Our holiday home is available to let to families, hikers and anybody looking to relax and enjoy Quinten's unique, sunny micro-climate.
Comfortably furnished home
Light, stylishly furnished living and dining area with wood stove and full view of Lake Walensee. Spacious entrance hall, well equipped kitchen and large terrace. One large bedroom, one large bedroom/playroom and one large bathroom upstairs. Two double bedrooms (each 11m2) and a shower/WC in the basement. External sauna on the lower terrace.
Extensive garden
Our garden offers plenty of room to play and to relax. At the upper end of the garden we have around 70 vines, which are cultivated along with grapes from the surrounding vineyards to produce the celebrated "Pinot Noir" wine. Depending on the season, there are also wild strawberries and figs. The view from the garden patio (with pizza oven) over the towering slopes of the Churfirsten mountains is breathtaking. With a little luck you can also find four-leafed clovers in the garden. Around 100m away there is a small bathing area (pebble beach) on the lake. Further bathing areas can also be found in the vicinity.
Quinten can only be reached on foot or by boat. The Quinten-Murg ferry sails to Quinten all year round, making over 20 journeys a day during the summer and around 12 during the winter months.
The house is located 200m uphill from Quinten harbour. Heating, bed linen, towels, water, electricity and kitchen basics are included in the price.
