"There’s so much to say about this lovely place and all of the wonderful staff that works here. We came here for our honeymoon and they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was everything we wanted and more. Back in the states, I worry about being an inconvenience to the staff, however you can tell that the staff here WANTS to help you. From the moment we walked into our room, they had decorated it with flower petals and made sure we had the jungle view room (as we kindly requested). It was beautiful and they truly made us feel like King and Queen. I don’t usually write reviews, I’m usually a silent watcher, but I had the best experience here and felt like I just had to share! :) "

"We stayed a week for our 25th anniversary. Perfect for that occasion. It would be inappropriate with children, infirm or elderly - stone stairs to anywhere, lots of quiet, mostly honeymooners. The staff made an effort to learn our names/circumstances and seemed sincerely invested in our good stay. Shout out to Mira. All day long, the cooked-to-order western and eastern food was amazing (the best/cheapest filet mignon you will find), and we especially enjoyed the included luxurious afternoon tea time 330-430. Our room with private pool felt extremely romantic. We partook of the expert spa massages, mani-pedi and facials. The dance or singing shows every evening added to the romance. Note it is geographically close to downtown Ubud for the shopping, temples, restaurants and chaos, but it is a harrowing and slow 20-30 minute ride that significantly messed with our peace from the place. We only went once. The rice terrace walk was not challenging but is along a road that is a bit too close to traffic. The morning yoga was a mix of stretching and meditation, inadequate if you are a serious yogi. We did our own yoga on the beautiful yoga platform. Kayon Resort was the perfect place to unwind, retreat and recharge. We joked that it felt like the garden of Eden before the fall. One of a kind experience!!!"

"The Sun of Granary was the perfect choice. The property was amazing. The staff was pleasant and the food was *chefs kiss*. Location was good. Not too far from anything. "We loved the New Majestic! It was exactly what we needed! Back story - my husband and I visited Bali (years ago) and vowed to return back and in particular to the area of Ubud / Gianyar. Well, we traveled for hours from the airport to arrive at a villa that was under construction (which we were not informed) and a host in an odd dispute w/ the adjacent neighbor. We immediately began looking into other villas and found this gem! David was immediately helpful and our experience went from hell to heaven upon getting in contacting him. His villa is stunning and is nestled in such natural beauty. To add to it, the villa comes with the talented Chef Nofi and the best driver, Modi. Chef Nofi was able to immediately pick up on what we liked without even having to tell her. And the driver took us to the most incredible restaurant I think I’ve ever experienced. I could go on & on. The fact that this villa offers these services and from such competent staff can’t be underestimated. I didn’t deal w/ the kitchen for days and welcomed it! Many other villas advertise that you can get these services but be warned! The original villa we stayed at too offered a chef, but the chef was a no show and then we were advised to use the “Grab” app, which was not what we had in mind as a vacation! I didn’t have to concern myself with dishes, taking out the trash at the end of our stay, etc. We would highly recommend! There are many “new” build villas in Bali, but no comparison to this gem!"

"Absolutely Beautiful place to stay in Ubud! Not in the center but very close. You are surrounded by rice terraces in the area! The villa was clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool especially! We had a swim at morning, sunset and night and all equally beautiful sights! There are only 3 villas so far which meant that you are in the peace and quiet. Really recommend this Villa as all the staff are super friendly and helpful also! To say this place is excellent is an understatement. We would love to stay here again if we return to Bali."
