Let me start by saying that the condominium was lovely and nicely appointed. However, there were problems that arose in the unit throughout the entire stay. The owner’s LACK OF RESPONSIVENESS was a huge negative. The main problem was the washer and dryer (we rented both sides of the unit so there were 2 of each in the unit)...none of them worked properly or at all, and emitted a musty smell (permeating throughout the whole unit). We had 4 children with us and had packed assuming there was working washer and dryer. We had to "borrow" towels from the hotel pool (the hotel management would not provide towels, because it was the “owner's responsibility”), and I had to hand wash and hang clothes to dry out on the unsecure deck (I am sure the other guests enjoyed seeing our socks and underwear!) I placed several emails/calls to the owner, however he never responded to me directly and they were never properly fixed. Although maintenance came to fix them on a few occasions, they failed to fix the units. Worse yet, they would not come unless we were there in the unit and we waited for the maintenance guy for hours instead of being outside enjoying the wonderful sunshine. I also asked the owner to recommend where we could go to do our laundry, but he never responded. The maid did not even show up one day without notice, and she picked the day that we ran out of toilet paper. Again we were six people, and had to take individual sheets from the pool as the hotel would not give us TP (“owner's responsibility”) and the owner refused to respond to my emails/calls.IN ADDITION, the hot tub didn't work, the maid tried to get us to pay additional amount for service, the master bathtub did not have hot water and would not drain (there was standing water in it when we arrived) and the drains in both of the master bath sinks were broken. While I wouldn't have minded a broken item or two, having to spend our vacation time waiting for maintenance crew who sometimes showed up...late...or sometimes not at all....and NEVER hearing from the owner at all was SHOCKING AND SO COMPLETELY FRUSTRATING. To this day, weeks later, the owner hasn't responded once to me, let alone apologized.The SotoGrande itself is a lovely resort...part condo, party hotel. They do offer daily "all inclusive", and if you bargain, they will discount the daily rate and allow you passes to dine at one of the marina restaurants. Hard to order/pay for anything ala carte. Having only 2 restaurants,
