Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities
Overall this property met my expectations with some caveats. This is my first all inclusive and I went in knowing what to generally expect.
Here is what I liked: The property is well maintained and has a luxe feel, though not quite at the 5 star level. It wasn't too crowded at the time of visiting (January 2025). What stood out the most was the breathtaking view of the waves crashing against Punta Macao, the cliff seen off in the distance. We liked the French and Italian restaurants the most, Oceana was fine. Service was great. You can tell most staff are well trained - whether it is serving you food or making sure the beach is pristine, they were outstanding. The shows were well designed with some wow factor added with their moves. I'll leave it at this as I don't want to spoil it for you.
Not everything was perfect, however. The Japanese restaurant, Himitsu, had some of the worst food I've ever had at a hotel. Same goes for room service, avoid using this service as the food provided were shockingly inedible. I also didn't love that they pushed their unlimited vacation club pitch on us (we're on vacation, after all) and the fact that they allow equally pushy vendors onsite to "support" them and buy their overpriced souvenirs detracts from the overall experience. Finally, the $200 resort credits, as others mentioned, are only good to use as coupons and have restrictions.
With that being said, overall we enjoyed our stay.
