beware being locked in!
Despite supposedly being 24hr reception it was locked and dark at 6am. My bus was leaving for 7am. I called the number I had for the hostel and a woman answered, who said she'd send someone to open up. A guy arrived 10 minutes later. He'd been sleeping upstairs. Apparently there was a buzzer in the rooms I hadn't been told about that we were meant to use -- never saw it. It took him 20 minutes to open the door, to find the right key. Twenty minutes! This is the only exit to the hostel! What if there was a fire! We'd be stuffed! The room was clean and we could use the kitchen, if you could find matches, and there was hot water showers. Upstairs was a lounge, locked after hours. I would have been super happy with this hostel except for the danger of being locked in without being able to get out. What a nightmare!
