The pretty coastal village of San Juan de los Terreros is located near the border of Andalusia and Murcia, in the province of Almeria, near the town of Aguilas. San Juan de los Terreros houses a castle, dating from the 16th century, which has been declared a cultural attraction. Built as a coastal fort, it sits at the top of a promontory 150 meters above the coast. From the castle you can see up to Cabo Cope and the seaside resort of Carboneras. The nearby town of Aguilas offers a host of amenities that are specific to a large city.

The village is surrounded by a beautiful coast and in the background rise steep mountains, which perfectly frame the horizon at sunset. Places to visit
Costa Almeria is home to the beautiful Cabo de Gata Natural Marine Park, easily accessible by car. For the family a water park is 15 minutes from San Juan de los Terreros. Oasys, a western theme park is located in the Tabernas Desert.

There are several golf courses located near the village including Valle del Este and Desert Springs, which is about 20 minutes away.
Climate
With an average of 320 days of sunshine a year, the province of Almeria undoubtedly has one of the best climates in Spain. San Juan de los Terreros is a great place all year round. Temperatures range from 32 to 36 degrees in summer and 14 to 16 degrees in winter.
Activities and restaurant
Beach of Los Cocedores. Located next to the beach of Las Palmeras, it is admired for its crystal clear water, natural pool and breathtaking cliffs. Protected by the surrounding mountain, the beach is covered with beautiful white sand with impressive scenery.

Las Palmeras beach. This 1,000-meter-long beach is made up of golden sands that are still lined with loose stones. His name is inspired by a group of palm trees that are located next to the sea, which gives him a perfect attraction.
Beach of Mar Rabiosa. Although this beach is only 250 meters long, it is probably the most famous and most visited beach in the region. People come here because of its beautiful golden sand and calm, shallow waters.
Calypso beach. Similar to the beach of Mar Rabiosa, this beach is also 250 meters long. His name is inspired by an event in the 1950s when Captain Cousteau's ship allegedly docked at the mythical beach.
Mar Serena beach. With a name inspired by its calm waters, this 700-meter-long beach is known for its golden sand and calm, crystalline waters. Its limit is determined by "El Pichirichi" which is a big rock separating it from the beach of Mar Rabiosa.
