"The check-in person (wish I could remember his name!!) and Mary in the breakfast area were excellent! So friendly and personable! Our room was not all that clean, but I wonder if it’s just that everything is old. The kitchen Cora chair was stained and nasty! I would recommend that it be discarded. The lobby was bright and clean, though. Perhaps renovations are going on? I would hope so. We will stay again, but this hotel is not up to the standards we usually see from Hampton Inn."

"We were looking for a place to stay that offered convenient fishing, nice views, and clean/comfortable quarters. This house checked every box!The kayaks were ready to jump in and row to the fish, life jackets and oars on-site. The hot tub was so perfect after getting chilled by the March breeze while fishing from the kayaks (we landed a 2 lb small mouth as our biggest catch).The comfy couch fit our family for good movie nights, we really appreciated being able to log into our Amazon and Direct TV apps.We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked another several days in April!My family is quite picky about cleanliness and we were very impressed with the Firefly.Food Lion was an easy 10 min drive for groceries and the bait & tackle shop at Indian Point Marina, just a bit further, has everything you might need if you want to fish.We are 4 hours away but it is well-worth the drive for us, we absolutely love the cove location and being surrounded by trees, high over the lake. The game room in the downstairs is a great spot for kids, and has a second kitchen and soaker tub.Overall a great choice for a family getaway!"
