"Lovely property well maintained in a remote location. Sadly the pool wasn’t in operation during our stay but that did not detract. We were allocated the pool house so unable to comment on the main house. Owners are friendly, welcoming and eager to please. The village of Darnius is quaint but very much a one-horse town (unfortunately someone has stolen the horse). If it’s tranquility you are after, you will find it here."

"I had a confirmed booking and when we arrived at 11.30pm I was told via an intercom at the door that the hotel was full.The person talking to me cut me off and wouldn't open the door. I had emailed twice through Expedia and then tried to ring up about 5 times about arriving late but had not got any replies before I left the UK.Luckily I had a tent and Google which found me a camping in the middle of the night.
