"No welcome instructions sent, had to call the owner who asked us why we were phoning! However...Nice gîte in quiet location not too far from cable car (journey 5 mins by car) to ski station. Comfy real fire and multi fuel burner. Faded living area. Nice bathroom and nice enough second bathroom. Good enough kitchen but some things missing eg. cheese grater a good knife...a few things like that. Generally a nice place to stay but needs some TLC and more dinner plates (only 3 there and about 40...

The welcome book was entirely in French we tried to translate as much as we could but hopeless. So we never did find out about the restaurants and supermarkets until practically the last day. "I missed cups for breakfast coffee, and a propper closed fence around the house to leave our dog alone. The pillows were only large (not for the individual beds). The vaccum cleaner didn't work, so we couldn't clean it properly. On the other side, the house was charming and we liked it. Close to bareges and luz ardiden."

"We stayed for two weeks in September. What a lovely place to stay. Both Montse (the owner) and the neighbours are lovely people. Oto is a very quiet village :-). Broto, next village, only a mile away has everything we needed. Small supermarket, butcher, baker, bars and I've no doubt there is a candlestick maker somewhere about. Second time we've been here and still loads for us to explore. WE'LL BE BACK."
