First off, the staff was amazing! Len, the owner, was easy to talk with prior to our stay. Isela, the property manager was easy to deal with and very helpful. The rest of the staff was amazing. The meals were out of this world. We did not need a car, and the fact that all the shopping was done for us was a major plus. The chef met with us daily to go over what we would like to eat for the next day. We squared the money on a daily basis.
The location was fantastic. During our stay, the ocean was way to rough to swim. I'm not sure if this was the time of year or what...
On the downside, the property is a bit tired.
The pool was out of service for the first week of our two weeks stay. Given the importance of the pool for this property, this was a major disappointment. They got it working for the second week. No compensation effort was made. This was a surprise to me.
The towels were old and worn. This too was a surprise for the cost of this property. The outdoor furniture was also old and tired.
We were traveling with two infants under 2. There were no "pack and play's" at the property. So, we had to travel with them. Every hotel in the world has these available.
Overall, we loved the property, the location and the staff. It could easily be upgraded to a 5-star location, but for now I would rate it as a 4-star location.
