"We always write what we did like and what we didn't like so much. Onto the not so much to get to the awesome! The only thing we can think of is we didn't feel as secure as we could have with the room. The windows can't be left open (screens) if you want your items as protected as possible that makes it stuffy and warmer in the room when you are gone. However, staff is around, it's a close knit community, theft would be rare and would probable come from a guest. We DID like the staff, amazing...

"It was quiet area. I was unable to contact host on arrival, it is an out of way location, quite stressful. It worked out but id suggest a sign at gate so guest knows they are in right place, plus an intercom or bell. I went in order to have a quiet place, it definitely delivered. The view was really great. The distance from food and shops was far. With no fridge, microwave or coffeemaker, options were limited. "Owners were very friendly and helpful. This is a family friendly hostal with no partying, drinking, loud music. Made it easy to sleep. Rooms are basic, no AC, no hot water but private bathroom in our room. Bedroom could use fresh coat of paint but everything was clean. For the price it was a great value. Without a car it is likely further from the beach than easily accessible. We had our own car so it was a short drive. We would definitely recommend this hostal."

"We stayed for 3 days and found the location convenient for exploring the Puerto Lopez area. I would note that the beds that are described as "queen size" would be called double beds in the US."

"The Manager, Elizabeth, went out of her way to help us non-Spanish-speaking visitors. She translated, made helpful suggestions, and was a delight to talk with. The property is 1/2 block off of the beach in the middle of the beach activity and is lovely. The rooms are clean and just the basics. Bed, side table, refrigerator, clean bathroom. "I loved the location, a bit away from the center. We had a rental car and there was an enclosed parking spot for us. The owner and staff were wonderful, kind and very helpful. The pool was great with plenty of shady spots for the adults to sit and watch them play. Breakfast was healthy and tasty. Our room had ample space and the beds were very comfortable."

"The Manager, Elizabeth, went out of her way to help us non-Spanish-speaking visitors. She translated, made helpful suggestions, and was a delight to talk with. The property is 1/2 block off of the beach in the middle of the beach activity and is lovely. The rooms are clean and just the basics. Bed, side table, refrigerator, clean bathroom. But, that is all you need! The property is still expanding and improving and promises to be even better. hey also have a washer and dryer which was very much needed since we only brought enough clothes in a backpack. I felt very safe in the hotel and walking around Puerto Lopez even though I am a 62 y.o. woman and my only companion was my 26 y.o. Down syndrome daughter. BTW the FOOD is fantastic in Puerto Lopez. We ate in 6 different restaurants on the beach or on the beachfront road. And, of course, a very polite dog will "guard" your table hoping for a "Tip" Please tip generously. "
