With some effort, this place could live up to its view.
Here are the pros and cons:Pros: -The view is stunning. -Access to the water is down the back steps.-The front gate, coded door entry, feels safe.Cons:- Yes the place was clean (minus a towel that didn’t get throughly washed) but it is a little worn down. One of the lamps didn’t work, a light socket was out, the microwave above the fridge is broken, the washer needs repair (there is no dryer, fyi) and the bathroom window needs a screen, else you’ll be a nice mosquito snack during your shower.-This place is not safely walkable for anyone without a vehicle. This is not the hosts fault, but I’m noting it for future guests who might not have rented a car.- I had to ask twice for entrance and address info, and ask for the WiFi info. More communication there would have been helpful, or a welcome book with info about the place and neighborhood.- There is a kayak an inflatable paddle board to use, but the board might need air, and there was only one paddle.-The adjacent house is also a rental: and our neighbors loved to play music and woo off the balcony till 4 am. Thankfully, the sound of the bedroom ceiling fan drones it out, but bring earplugs if you’re sensitive.Pro Tip: The address wasn’t known to our cab driver (so ask if the host can send you a pick of the gate so you can find it).All in all, I wish it had been more kept up. A little bit of time spent fixing broken things, a bit of caulk, a fresh coat of paint, and this place would live up to the view it has.
