The people, for the most part, were terrific. The property was, I'm sorry to say, a bit tired looking. The breakfast buffet was mediocre. The omelet station was great, but the fruit section was quite weak - not enough of a variety, and exactly the same fruit each day.

It is beautifully renovated and the beach is delightful. The room was super nice although the microwave and the coffee machine were quite old. The breakfast was good considering it is presented as "continental" but having fresh bread (instead of only sliced and bagels/muffins) would have been nice. The service is not what you would expect in a 5-star hotel, it is spotty and some staff are super nice and helpful but others are moody or bordering rude. Nice restaurants in the area of Grace Bay accessible via a short cab ride or long walk.

The Palms was one of the nicest resorts that I have ever stayed at. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are huge, the amenities are plentiful and the staff are the most friendly my wife and I have ever encountered. The location is perfect and and close to some of the finest dining on the island not to mention the Palms restaurant, Parallel 23. The spa offers the best massages we have ever had in the carribean and the gym has everything you need. We cannot wait to go back!

We booked fairly last minute but still got a great room with a lovely king bed and a surprisingly comfortable pullout sofa for our 16 year old son. The breakfast was included and great! Eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes or French toast and the coffee was really good! One of the five buildings was already closed (renovation starting) but pool and beach were never crowded. When we needed more towels, someone came quickly. Lovely turn down service each evening. Two servers at the swim up pool bar were amazing and made our trip - Sherrie and (our fave) Paula who knew our son’s favorite drink (chocolate shake) and kept ‘em coming! Only downside was lack of activities for a teen. It was definitely a couples resort but concierge helped to book a jet ski excursion that was a highlight for our son. Beautiful grounds, so quiet, safe/gated entry, shuttle to their other property (Sands) was close to main shopping area. We’ll be back!
