The Space:
NO PARTIES
We wish to continue to host guests, so unfortunately, this space is NOT suitable for Parties or Events.
RETRO WITH A MODERN TWIST
The apartment is unique in a retro art deco way! The bedroom has built-in colorful shelves on one entire wall, original exposed brick on others, and the wall facing the hallway is completely glass! The living room shares a wall with the bedroom that is partially glass so light will shine from one room to the other. The Riverfront Foundry boosts beautiful high ceilings and original brick walls from when this building was an industrial foundry. It has a lot of windows that let in natural daylight, and looking out the front windows, you have an amazing view of the City skyline (including the State House). The apartment is on the 1st floor and is for up to 2 guests only. Despite the thorough renovations of all our apartments, the building itself remains an older structure and because of this and its proximity to the riverfront, it is considered unsuitable for young children. However, if your children are 6 years or older and you understand these considerations, we would be happy to accommodate your stay.
THE KITCHEN
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the basics and some extras for your stay. You can easily cook in the apartment or dine-out at the many fabulous restaurants that are within walking distance. There are 2 counter stools and also a small high-top dining table.
EVERYTHING YOU’LL NEED
The living room is at the front of the building, so it is fairly close to the street, and has a view of the State House. There is a small couch and chair with a SmartTV that can be seen from various angles in this space. The bedroom has a king size bed, double closet, and desk. There is one large bathroom with a full-size shower. The apartment has air conditioning and heat, as well as brand new windows. Some windows have blinds while others have room darkening curtains.
PARKING
There is parking in the driveway for one car.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire apartment.
The main entrance to the building is a shared entrance with the other 3 apartments in the building.
The Neighborhood:
Conveniently located, a short walk to Downtown or College Hill. Great restaurants nearby and many places to explore within walking distance. The building sits close to the main road so you may hear an occasional bus going by during the day.
Getting Around:
If you like walking, this is the place to just park your car and explore the city! You can walk to much of the city, but Uber and Lyft are also available, and many scooter operators are also available in the city.
Other Things to Note:
We have one free dedicated off-street parking spot in our driveway. You may need to parallel park.
The apartment building is located within walking distance to everything however it is on a semi busy road.
Interaction with Guests:
The building includes a shared stairwell and a downstairs laundry area accessible to all guests, but the apartments are exclusively for your private use.
