"Wonderful hotel. It's almost 4*, much better than regular 3*. Everything has been immaculate. The room is spacious, very clean, the toiletries are good, large flat TV, climate control, SPA complex with complimentary access, amazing breakfast, very nice staff. Awesome place. Highly recommend! "

"An excellent old inn in a beautiful old town. The food was very good but the offering of English wine wasn't up to the same standard. In keeping with the style of the building there are no lifts, be prepared to carry your luggage to the third floor however, the staff did offer to help."

"This is a very charming little place to stay, it's very cozy and is surrounded by beautiful scenery. Pros: • Hot tub is spacious and very relaxing • Beautiful woods that can be explored backing right onto the property • Generally clean and underfloor heating is lovely (a few minor cleanliness issues eg. hair in shower) • Appreciated the manual being left for the microwave oven, not having experience with this made it very easy to cook! The microwave is quite large but not hugely practical for more than 1 larger item. A few cons: • We didn't realise that the two bedrooms are linked and one bedroom required walking through to gain access to the other. We stayed with two friends so this made it slightly awkward throughout the night having to go through the room of others sleeping. I think it would be nice to have a floorplan on the booking. However, this wouldn't be an issue with a family. • The two single beds are also extremely narrow and much smaller than a standard single making sleeping uncomfortable. • There are a few utensils/home items that would be nice to consider: a pizza cutter, a bathroom mat, and a bathroom hand towel. There are also no shelves in the bathroom to put anything except a very small wooden window ledge for 4 guests' items. • No local shop without driving. The supermarket was 15-minute drive. If you're well prepared this isn't a problem and being in the middle of nowhere is charming; but for last-minute things, driving will be required. "

"The hotel is really nice. The room was spacious and very clean and had everything you need such as comfy bed, good hairdryer, iron and TV. Bathroom was nice, big and very clean too. Shame I did not have time to use the pool. I will come back if I am in the area. "
