"I was super impressed with this property. The staff were personable. It wasn't fancy, but it fits the need. I felt comfortable traveling on my own there, the breakfast was pretty good for a free continental breakfast, they have a decent pool, a picnic area and a cornhole space. Just overall happy with my experience. "

"Motel so you park in front of your room. Breakfast is pretty good and starts at 5am so fishermen can eat and go to the lake. Clean and has everything you usually need, fridge, microwave, wi-fi, large king bed. All on one level so no stairs or elevators to worry about."

"Our experience at Lake Barkley resort State Park was excellent. The food was amazing and the great prices were a nice surprise. The rooms were really nice, the bed was comfortable, The view of the lake was amazing. The only negative was that there was a lot of construction going on and there were not signs telling you where you were and how to get to where you needed to go. When we drove up, it was very difficult to find the door to go in because of all the construction and the lack of instruction with signs. I’m sure that will be better when it’s all finished, however, it could be better now and eliminate a lot of confusion to people who have never been there before. But overall, it was an excellent place to visit and stay and we will definitely come back."
