I have stayed in many 5-star hotels throughout North America. These all pride themselves on customer service and friendly staff. However, our host, Joyce and Ted, are above them all. I was very late (after 10:30pm) due to plain problems and was greeted at the door by both Joyce and Ted with a smile and an offer of coffee and a muffin. I had to turn them down and I fell asleep right away and woke up to have breakfast that was so overwhelming and delicious I asked her to serve the same meal again on my last day breakfast. After five days, I think I’ve gained at least 5 pounds compliments of Joyce and her gourmet breakfasts. As a businessperson, you usually check in to a hotel, work all day and then work that evening until finally you go to sleep and then wake-up the next morning and do it all over again. However, at The Grateful Bed B'n'B, I was made to feel part of the family and it was great. I was even invited to have dinner and celebrate a friend’s birthday with cake, ice cream and great conversation. What else can one ask when you’re away from family and friends? You make new friends and I think I did that at the “Grateful Bed B & B, a true “Home away from Home”.
