" We had a great 2 night getaway! It was off season, so the first night it felt like we had the whole resort to ourselves. Excellent service. Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were both really really good. Beautiful views. No heater in the room so it was cold at night. We didn’t try using the wood fireplace because we were worried that we'd get too much smoke in the room. Overall the place is looking a little old and rundown (broken tiles, etc). "Montevalle was a beautiful property! The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. Other amenities like the pool & jacuzzi is well maintained. Service at the restaurant and reception was great! They call themselves a Wellness resort but it was cumbersome to book a massage online. Only packages are listed & not individual massages. We had booked two massages online but when we checked in they told us that it’s not shown on the system. We booked for next day only to be canceled again....
