I recently stayed at the Five Barred Gate Barn with my husband for a Christmas Break and had the most lovely break. I will be looking to book this place again and would recommend highly. We keep returning because the barn conversion suits us.
We keep returning because the barn conversion suits us. It is secluded enough for peace and quiet, but within easy distance of shops , pubs, Villages, towns and, should you feel the need, (though we don’t) cities Blackpool, Preston, Manchester, Liverpool. Modern, clean, well equipped, comfortable and warm. Owners genuinely want you to enjoy your break, and are friendly and amenable without intruding.

This was a perfect holiday.
This was a perfect holiday. The cottage is remote enough to enjoy peace, quietness and privacy but also close enough to local shops and the wonderful places of interest in Lancashire. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful but at the same time very keen to allow us our own space. I can't speak highly enough of them.

Just had a great relaxing week at the five Barred Gate Barn.
Just had a great relaxing week at the five Barred Gate Barn. The barn has been converted to a very high standard with one of the comfiest beds I've slept in and a great shower. Visited by hares & pheasants most days. Weather was perfect so also took advantage of the supplied barbecue and the outdoor furniture. Appreciated the welcome pack and also a visit from the owner to make sure everything was OK. Would definitely stay again if visiting the area.

A superb cottage for a relaxing break.
A superb cottage for a relaxing break. Everything I would expect was provided. Superbly decorated and furnished. Well insulated and central heating provided, so I did not need to use the log fire in February. Access to Beacon Fell Country Park is within a short driving, or walking distance. Miles of walking trails close by, and access to local stores is less than 15 minutes drive. A visit to Barton Grange Garden Centre provides opportunities to buy local produce, to have an excellent meal, and wander through the many different departments. The owners of the cottage were so helpful and offered excellent guidance and advice about the local attractions.
