Please note: There is an unfenced pond within the property grounds. . These two beautiful shepherds huts enjoy an elevated position in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. From the moment you drive through the electric gates towards Oakenclough House you won’t be disappointed. Surrounded by approximately 25 acres of land, these they offer the perfect opportunity to experience countryside living and a quieter pace of life.
Newly built in 2022 and 2023 they are larger than average and even boast a kingsize bed. Accessed via a footpath from the owner’s main house, they’ve been beautifully decorated with wonderful attention to detail. There’s a private patio area with BBQ for morning coffee and al fresco dining. The fields beyond stretch out as far as the eye can see, and the magnificently landscaped grounds include a large duck pond, 800 metres of wonderful river frontage and alternative picnic and barbecue areas which are shared with other on-site properties.
The small market town of Garstang can be reached in a 10-minute drive and provides a full range of amenities including a supermarket, pubs, restaurants and a selection of independent shops and casual eateries. The cities of both Lancaster and Preston are also easily reachable in around a 30-minute drive. The Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty covers 312 square miles, and once more provides the opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life with peaceful, remote walking and cycling available. The Lake District National Park can be reached in around an hour, or for those wanting to swap the countryside for the coast, the seaside resorts of Blackpool and Lytham St Annes are around a 45-minute drive: you are spoilt for choice.
