Glan Y Nant is a static caravan set in a private garden overlooking a stream and fields. It is located in a rural area surrounded by wildlife and scenic views. It is a good base for hikers, cyclists, birders, nature lovers and dog owners (we can accommodate reactive dogs). It is ideally situated to visit the Welsh towns of Presteigne, Knighton, Builth Wells (Royal Welsh Showground 11 miles away), Llandrindod Wells or to follow the Black and White village trail through Herefordshire. It is also suitable as a base for the Hay-on-Wye Book Festival and Brecon Jazz Festival. If after a day of exploring you want to eat out there are pubs in Llanfihangel, (one mile-open weekends only), Hundred House, Knighton, Presteigne, Titley and Kington.
There are three steps, along with a ramp to enter the caravan, and inside you will find a well-equipped kitchen and a welcoming open-plan living room with a separate dining area. Hidden below one of the bench-style sofas is a sofa bed suitable for young children. The living area has an electric fire that enhances the cosy ambience. There is a double bedroom with an en-suite toilet with a sink. The single bedroom is next to the family bathroom which has a shower cubicle, heated towel rail, toilet and sink. Both rooms have comfortable mattresses, wardrobe and shelf space and bedside tables with touch lamps with phone charging ports.
Outside there is a large patio which is a suntrap. A bench with cushions means you can sit and look out over the stream and watch the numerous species of birds we have. There are recliners, a parasol, a dining set for 4, a fire pit and BBQ and attractive controllable patio lights. The fully enclosed lawn at one end provides space for dogs to play, and a 4-acre meafow with a stream running through is available where dogs can be let off the lead (under your discretion). Playing in the stream is a favourite and there is a bird hide in the meadow where you can see numerous birds on feeders both resident and seasonal. Ref kites are fed daily and nest on the farm. Whether you’re seeking a retreat, or an active holiday Glen Y Nant provides the perfect base for creating lasting memories alone or with friends or family
