Cozy, Rustic Cabins near Chico Hot Springs & only 35 mins to YELLOWSTONE PARK!!

** PLEASE NOTE: For parties of more than 4 or 5 people, you can also rent either The School House Cabin (VRBO listing #1287958) and or The Teacherage Cabin (VRBO # 1539369) both of which are only a block away.

Originally sited outside of Helena, this wonderfully rebuilt 1800's log cabin still holds all the magic and mystery of the old gold mining days. Owner, Sarah Muller bought the cabin, moved it and re-stacked it at its present location in the historic gold mining town of Old Chico.

The Homestead cabin sleeps four comfortably. Wireless internet is included. Full bathroom with shower, fully equipped kitchen; microwave, coffee maker, blender, stove, pots and pans, and a beautiful marbled gas fired stove.

A perfectly situated cabin in the middle of Paradise Valley, where you can gaze at the night stars in the peaceful serenity of the Emigrant Gulch.

Close enough to Yellowstone for day trips in the park and back home to enjoy a nice BBQ on the back deck or treat yourself to dinner out at one of the fine restaurants in the area.

Sarah is an incredible woman she purchased the properties disassemble relocated and reassembled them where they are now located she lives on a third cabin on site and will answer all questions and gives great insight to the best unknown spots. oh yeah one more thing she does not just tell local folklore on wildlife she personally survived a Grizzley mauling her story is written in several books but to hear it from her mouth it carries a much greater weight.

Beautiful, cozy, perfevt
Absolutely perfect, lovingly built, cozy cottage away from everything I wanted to be away from. Nestled next to a fast flowing delightful creek. This beautiful cabin provides absolutely everything you need and more. I have never seen a better stocked home and all of my travels. Sarah thinks of everything and is a wonderful host. She’s there if you need her, and if you don’t need her, she leaves you alone. The canin is truly remarkable and you will be cozy and well cared for. Getting up and down the ladder to the loft seemed like a challenge, but it was absolutely not. I highly recommend this place and all of her cabins. They are close to two different Hot Springs and about a 40 minute drive to Yellowstone. The drivers easy and also beautiful Plenty of room for couples or a small family. You will love it - well worth much more each night. I will definitely return.

We couldn't have asked for more!
From the beginning of booking until we left, Sarah was involved, informative, communicative, and helpful! The cabin is more than a cabin. It was a labor of love and it shows in every single detail. Sarah has thoughtfully put together an informative book regarding dining, places to see and hikes. She also went through a map with us and gave us MANY suugestions for places to see and some to avoid. We were extremely comfortable and content the entire stay. Everything you could possibly want or need was provided. Sarah is an extremely kind, down to earth, and interesting host whom I hope to continue to keep in touch with. She made the visit that much more amazing, in addition to our great and comfy accomodations!

Homey Homestead Cabin
Wow! This cabin is a beautiful work of heart. Sarah, the owner, has put a lot of love, sweat and tears into moving, re-stacking and decorating this sweet cabin. I literally could have sold most of my possessions, moved in, and stayed. Permanently. Joking aside, if you ever need a caretaker, I'm your girl.😉 The cabin is super clean, cozy and comfortable. Sarah has thought of every basic item you could need to make your stay comfortable. The decor is so very esthetically pleasing and the yard is adorable. We enjoyed fishing and rafting the Yellowstone river, finding Dailey Lake, hiking Pine Creek falls, exploring the Lamar Valley in Yellowstone, driving over the beautiful Beartooth highway, touring Lewis and Clark Caverns and checking out the cute town of Livingston and the dreamy Paradise Valley. The valley definitely lives up to its namesake. My only regret was not getting to sit outside by the fire and watch the stars and hiking more. But after reading about Sarah's grizzly encounter, I got over it. Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise with us.

Truly Paradise
This is my second time staying at one of Sarahs three cabins and it will not be the last! I cant say enough about how magical her property is and I have never stayed somewhere more accommodating! Sarahs attention to detail and the shear beauty of her cabins, make you never want to leave! The cabin was filled with everything you could need and the book of info left for you has everything you need to know about the area. There is a book in every cabin called The Mark of the Grizzly. Inside is the story of Sarahs "encounter" with a grizzly. We read her story and it changed us. And left us with such admiration for her life in the mountains. Thank you, Sarah! We will definitely be back, again!

The Homestead cabin is absolutely adorable! The attention to detail that Sarah took so much care in when rebuilding (from the ground up) this original homestead cabin is amazing! Clean! Super warm! Cozy! All the necessary amenities ;-) If you stay, be sure to check out the photo album containing the pics of the original homestead and the process Sarah took to move it and rebuild it. I was so impressed! It made me appreciate the cabin so much more. Thank you for your hospitality, Sarah!

Amazing. Chico hot springs close by good food, bar and hot springs all in one. Sarah is an amazing host wit tremendous knowledge of the emigrant gulch, chico and Yellowstone national park. Not to mention some what of a legend around old Chico and Emigrant. Cabin was rustic and modern. Great stay for us. Thanks again to Sarah Mueller. We hope to see you again in the future. We had an excellent time staying with Sarah. Thirty Minutes from everything (even with the north entrance closed) hot springs, restaurants, saloons, site-seeing and so much more. We would come back and stay in a heartbeat. The kitchen was filled with seasoning, canned goods, coffee filters, ketchup, mustard, water.... Thank you.

Absolutely amazing!
First off, Sarah was amazing. She gave us all the best places to go and included some “off the beaten path”. Thanks to her suggestions, we were able to see Montana in some of the most beautiful ways. Second, the cabin was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked, the bed was comfortable, and the patio offers a beautiful view for your morning coffee drinking. We loved everything about our stay and are already trying to find a time we can book our next cabin with Sarah. I highly recommend this place!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Memorable!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to MT, and Sarah’s wonderful cabin was a key reason. It was very clean, quaint, and cozy. My 9 and 7 y/o said it was one of the best places they had ever stayed and my husband and I agree. Our initial plan was to go to Yellowstone, but instead we spend our days hiking to waterfalls and cascades, fly fishing (caught rainbow trout), soaking in the hot springs, grilling out, and enjoying the scenery and wonderful food from the local restaurants. We had such a memorable trip! We want to come again with family and friends next time! Thank you Sarah for the love and care you have poured into your cabins. We very much enjoyed meeting and talking with you!

This cabin exceeded our expectations! The beds were so comfortable, cabin so clean and perfectly decorated, and the BEST tap water we’ve ever had! Sarah has the cabin stocked with things you didn’t even realize you’d need or want to have with you! This cabin made our Yellowstone family vacation the best ever! It was wonderful to come “home” every evening to the peaceful cabin. We felt like we were the only ones in the area, it was so quiet. Our kids loved exploring outside, especially the creek! We will be back, hopefully very soon!!!
