"Clean. Tricly to get to. But came as advertised"

"We had a delightful stay at this charming property just outside Bagni di Lucca. The road to the property is quite narrow and thrilling to navigate in the dark, but worth the journey as it feels like you’ve escaped to the middle of nowhere. Our first morning we discovered it’s really worth making sure you set an alarm if you need to wake up as the property’s shutters are exceptionally effective. Once we did eventually wake up, the loungers by the pool provide an idyllic spot to enjoy the beautiful Tuscan hills. We loved our stay here. The property is really well equipped, spacious, clean and in a stunning location. Thank you for a lovely few days!"

"Comfortable Homely Villa set in the Tuscan hills. We enjoyed the views, the relaxing by the pool. Visiting both Lucca & Pisa via the train and Eating in Tuscan restaurants. "

"Stunning area and high location of property means the views are amazing. The house is also nice and was very clean but the utilities seemed tired - fridge light and toaster didn’t work as an example. There was also no seating on the balcony area at all, and no air con meaning all the shutters were down on our arrival and it was just pretty dark and musty. This wouldn’t be an issue if you were travelling in the cooler months. I had understood that the property is set in 5 acres so had brought ball games for kids to run around but that really wasn’t possible - the land includes steep mountain sides. But if you have older children or just adults, then there’s ample room. There is also a decent size drive, it’s gated and the pool and outdoor area is fantastic. Better than the pictures. It really is a stunning location!! Finally, just to note that the road to the property is incredibly tight, steep and not for the faint hearted. Our hire car simply couldn’t handle it and we got stuck rendering us parking on the mountain roadside and walking down until we could get back to the airport to hire a more powerful engined car. Host was easily contactable but not especially friendly or interested in making our stay welcome; ran us around the house in such quick fashion and said she would text us things to do in area but didn’t. A little more welcoming could have gone a long way. Cleaners on the other hand were incredibly nice! "

"Communication could not be faulted. The apartment is as described but this fitted our needs perfectly as we had friends staying in the villa next door. Ron was great with questions. Would stay again if in the area. "

"Loved & cared for by owners. Rina & Bruno went beyond the call of duty to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Help with a punctured tyre on arrival set their high standard of care. We never tired of the wonderful views from the house, the birdsong, the scents pf wild flowers and the ambience of the ancient village. The 15 minute drive down a steep & winding road may challenge a less experienced driver. We loved the local markets and the thermal baths in Bagni di Lucca and walking in the mountains. Lucca and its music was a joy. We plan to return."

"Nestled on a hillside overlooking a small village sits a real Tuscan treat. Apart from the narrow winding road, this house is in a perfect location. Everything has been thoughtfully prepared, including a welcome basket of food and wine. The gardens and pool are fabulous. The only downfall is the bed, which is a little uncomfortable. But because everything else is so perfect you can overlook this imperfection."
